Frigidaire furnace will not run the heat cycle, The furnace calls

The model is FG6RA 096C 12B 2005yr. . The furnace calls for heat lights and after approx. 10s the gas shuts off and the blower starts. and as soon as the blower times out it calls for heat again.

    We have a similar problem. The furnace cycles on and off (about 1/minute) and doesn't heat. As a temporary fix we removed the front cover and it seems to work fine. Not a long term solution though so we are still working on it.

It's a flame sensor.It looks like size of regular welding rod and have one wire connected to have to removed and clean with 1000 grid sand paper and put it back on, that's all..

    I had the same problem with our Frigidaire furnace. I cleaned the flame sensor with sand paper and fixed the problem. Thanks Swiatswiat.

The problem is in the thermostat wiring, likely it is grounding somewhere between the thermostat and the air handler/furnace unit.

Frigidaire Furnace model #FG6RA-096C-16B status light blinks 3 times.

Pressure Switch is Closed with Inducer Off. The inducer will only kick on if the pressure switch is open to initialize the call for heat.

We have a 1998 frigidaire furnace. M#FG6RA 072C-12A. It has a mind of its own! there is a red light that flashes 3 times.

Check the electrical panel cover for the schematic and see if the flashes are listed with their troubleshooting codes. If not check any documentation that came with the unit, or go on the internet and do a Google search.

I can't find the summer switch on my furnace model FG6RA 072C-12A

there isn't a summer switch - the thermostat will switch the operation from heat/winter operation to cool/summer operation. I.E. "Cool" for Summer and "Heat" for Winter.
