Check the computer BIOS to see if the HDD is being detected correctly

Check the computer's BIOS for the Boot sequence (the order in which The BIOS seek a device with a Bootable operation System). Verify that the HDD is on the list.
Boot you comuter with a Floppy containing MSDOS Boot Strap (just go to a computer with a win9x system and do
Code: format a:/u/s and see if you can access you HDD and see the Files on the first partition:
Code:
a:\>c:
c:\>dir This will tell you there is Valid Partition on the HDD.

I will be lurking here for your response,

I looked around the net for some information on the error and it turns out a simple Boot Disk fix is all it needed.
Thanks for you help anyways, Gab!!

In IBM system X3550 M3 server pxe e61 media test failure check cable error is coming and when i mam trying to install OS Partition will not show. pls give me solution.

This sounds like you are asking two different questions. PXE booting would be the way you would begin installing or loading an operating system. "Media test failure" errors would indicate a lack of network connectivity on the network interface that you're trying to PXE boot from.

You go on to mention an OS partition not showing... So did you resolve the PXE media test failure issue?

Your question is unclear and unanswerable in it's current state. BE CLEAR, CONCISE AND SPECIFIC.

PXE-E61

1.) Verify that both the local and remote network interfaces are connected AND enabled/configured.

2.) Replace the cable.

If the system no longer reports a "Media test failure" error then the physical layer is good. Either your system will begin to PXE boot or you will need to verify that a PXE server is available/reachable in the same subnet/VLAN. (Barring any ACL issues, etc.)

Not much else to cover here. Considering this issue closed.

Disable dhcp

You may need to go to BIOS setting and disable PXE Boot option. It should be under Integrated Devices, or the Network Device section of BIOS.

Non system disk or disk error' 'replace and strike any key when ready' 'Media test failure Check cable' When l performed the Boot Utility test it returned an error message 'f

Sounds like a disk issue. It kind find the OS so it's then trying to PXE boot (boot from the network). Have you changed the boot order recently? or do you have a USB key connected to your server? are you able to connect to the management interface (hp ilo, dell drac) to see if you had any raid or other hardware issues?

In my IBM X226 server 2 HDD became unavailable in RAID 5 configuration. now I have replaced the hard disks and rebuild process is continuing. 1962 operating system not found error message is being shown...

Raid level 5 gives you some redundancy in your raid however it only allows you to lose one hard drive, two hdd lost would not permit to recover from. the parity bit can rebuild one hard drive but not two, sorry your raid might be lost

How to get into the configuration utility to set the nic/ip address

The dell PE server should have a PXE boot menu. You probably need to go into PXE menu and configure, or they need to provide a PXE server so the server can boot from PXE automatically.

Mac help is built into the operating system on your computer. There really aren't any paper manuals for them. Here is a link to Apple's web site that should get you started: http://www.apple.com/support/imac/g4/

How i can format my Mirra Personal M-120?

1. Make sure the CDROM is set as the first boot device in BIOS.
2. Insert the Windows XP/2000 cd in the CDROM
3. Restart the server
4. When 'Press any key to boot to cd' message is displayed, press any key
5. Follow the steps to reinstall the operating system, one of your options will be to format (I would recommend NTFS)

Hope that helps!
