Check the computer BIOS to see if the HDD is being detected correctly

Check the computer's BIOS for the Boot sequence (the order in which The BIOS seek a device with a Bootable operation System). Verify that the HDD is on the list.
Boot you comuter with a Floppy containing MSDOS Boot Strap (just go to a computer with a win9x system and do
Code: format a:/u/s and see if you can access you HDD and see the Files on the first partition:
Code:
a:\>c:
c:\>dir This will tell you there is Valid Partition on the HDD.

I will be lurking here for your response,

As soon as you power on your PC, start pressing the F2 key. This should bring up the BIOS (Basic Input Output Systems) screen. Make sure your Hard Drive is listed in the Boot order. Usually a CD drive is listed first, then the Hard Drive as a second boot device. If you do not see the Hard Drive listed, then it probably is bad and needs replacing. If it is listed correctly in the boot order, your Operating System has crashed, and you will need the recovery disks or the instalation disk for your Operating System (XP, Win7,etc.)

From the description it is the hard drive, remove hardware and reseat back into position, sometimes this will restart the hard drive, if no change chances are you will need it replaced, but I would suggest getting it tested first.

Your laptop can't find an operating system, check the operating system as it installed properly. If its is then you need to check the hard disk drive of your laptop because it is missing from the motherboard.

Your message indicates that Pxe Boot is enabled (boot from lan card), go to bios settings and from the list of first boot options, please select the hard disk (hdd) or Cd-rom as the first boot device, reboot your system and check whether this helps or not.
It is also necessary to disconnect and reconnect your dvd/cd rom's power cable and data cable.
If you don't know how to do, then just reset the bios settings to "load default" ...
Good luck.

The message you are seeing is your system trying to boot off of a network source. The boot device order has either been changed in your BIOS or the system is not seeing the hard drive with your operating system on it and is not able to boot from it.
