What do you mean it didn't find it? You should be able to just plug into your receiver directly, and go to the input you plugged it in to...

Any digital AVR can only support external analog sound processing gear (eq, tape decks, etc) for analog sources. As soon as a Tape Loop is activated any digital source will be disabled. Nature of the beast.
