The only audio out jack on your TV is for the headphone on the left side of the TV. You need to purchase a 3.5 mm to RCA audio cable, connect the 3.5mm jack to the left side of your TV and the 2 RCA audio cable ends to the audio in of your Home Theater and then select AUX 1 or AUX 2 on the home theater depending on which jacks you plugged into.

Hooked up home theater system, sound but no picture

are the red and white for "audio in" to the theater system receiver and the yellow cable hooked up to "video out" on the receiver and "video in" on the tv?

Typically most theater systems do not have "audio out" connections because they produce the audio. The receiver will have several "video out" connections, one of which needs to go to the tv.

Problems connecting phillips tv to panasonic sc-pt660 home theate

I just bought a sc-pt660, I have a philips tv too, the TV only available output is digital coax but the home theater only has digital optical input, you may buy a digital coax to optical converter like this one:
http://www.amazon.com/Cables-Go-Coaxial-Optical-Converter/dp/B0002J2MV4/ref=pd_cp_e_3?pf_rd_p=413863501&pf_rd_s=center-41&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=B000I98ZQY&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=1BS8MKCZ1CWQR071S8RN

Alternativelly you can also use the headphone output that is near the side input in the TV and buy an RCA adapter like this one from radioshack: http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2103225

Can't get the surround sound to play the rear speakers and small front speaker

Sounds like it's just in 2 channel stereo mode, only 2 speakers working out of 5 and a sub, look for a selector switch for switching to 5.1 surround, as far as the no video problem try replacing the cable for the video connection.
