Using water tank, first time getting Ventilate message

Same problem. Saeco Magic Comfort + front panel says "ventilate" There is only a comment about the water pump being non-functional in the manual, other wise no mention of "ventilate" in manual. Have cleaned machine as per instructions but machine will not do anything else. Makes a sound like something is blocked upon power up, otherwise nothing.

How to ventilate Saeco Magic Comfort + coffe maker

Hi
If its a Magic Comfort + there is a water button on the panel (with the drop) that you push for water. You twist the dial for steam only.

If its a Magic Delux you twist the dial for water.

Press the water button to prime the machine. There is air in the water circuit which must be expelled. And checked water tank is properly seated.

Ventilate!

Can you get water out of the machine by pushing the hot water button?

This is how you would remove the ventilate message in the first place, but if no water comes out then the machines electro-valve is not opening and you will not be able to remove the ventilate message. You will have to get the machine serviced.

I would also give descaling the machine a try before servicing the machine.

You need to push the hot water button on the machines panel to allow water to run out of the steam wand. After a few seconds the machines ventilate message should clear.

It means you have an airlock in the water system. It can occur when you refill the water tank also.
Quite often you can run the hot water nossle untill the airlock clears. You will hear it splatter and then it should be sweet to go.

turn the hot water / steam knob on to 'ventilate' the pressure from the machine. The ventilate /overtemperature message will disappear when ready (few seconds usually)
