Hi marlonpanis, included within the link below is DDR266MHz memory;
http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/category/category_slc.asp?page=2&Nav=|c:147|&Sort=0&Recs=10

The motherboard may not run both DIMMs, 266 & 400MHz at the same time. Every motherboard I have ever worked with requires the memory to be of the same type & speed, (MHz). If you do run two different memory speeds, chances are the new 400MHz will auto drop down to match the slower memory speed of 266MHz.
The site above does have both types of memory. The best buy for your money would be the faster memory. (Ultra 512MB PC3200 DDR 400MHz Memory 2 Pack, Total 1GB).

Link to your motherboard; http://www.ecs.com.tw/ECSWebSite/Products/ProductsDetail.aspx?DetailID=453&CategoryID=1&DetailName=Feature&MenuID=45&LanID=0

Good luck marlonpanis!
Need more information, just post.

Hi there,

Yes it is possible to still plug-in an expansion video card. The 256MB limit is for the shared memory if you will be using your integrated Video Card. You can ignore it once you plug in the new video card.

Hope this helps.

I want to upgrade my RAM on my eMachine t3504. I currently have 256 in each of my 2 slots. Can I upgrade one of the slots to 1 GB and leave the 2nd at 256 or do I have to upgrade both slots?

Yes you can upgrade 1 of the slots to 1GB, as long as 1GB stick of memory is the 256MB stick then you can have both, to check the memory you will have pull them out of the slots and have a look on a little sticker on one side of them. You are looking for i.e DDR400/333/266 if the 1GIG memory matches one of the values mentioned above, say it is a DDR400 and the 256 is a DDR400 then they are compatable if not you will have to just leave the 1GIG stick in by it self in DIMM socket 1.

I want to upgrade my PC's RAM from 128 to 512 MB Is is possible to add only single RAM or two 256 MB RAM?

Depending on your mobo, you can do either, add one stick of 512MB or two sticks of 256MB. If you're sure you get matching sticks if your mobo is DDR capable.

Asrock K7VM2 Motherboard Memory Upgrade

Some MOBO support different type of memory modules like ddr 400, 333,533 and other, if your computer is working fine with that PC400 it only means that your MOBO is compatible with it. Since you're planning to upgrade the memory just get another PC400 because the memory should be the same to work fine.

Memory problem

Hi

Compaq Presario 700z notebook PC supports 128MB, 192MB, 256MB, 384MB PC 133 SyncDRAM (SDRAM). The Max Capacity is 384MB.

On this basis, I agree to upgrade the BIOS to support a 133Mhz (PC 133) memory module (DIMM).

At current DIMM capacity and prices, ensure the total memory capacity does no exceed 384MB. On the same note, a 512MB DIMM or two 256MB DIMMs are not supported. The best combination to achieve 384MB will be one 128MB and one 256MB DIMMs.
