I am having the same problem with the same model. It seems like the pump is constantly on when it should not be. Any help would be great. Thanks.

I have the same problem with my Admiral AAV7000A. At first it would not run at all but would make a humming noise. Got it running but not drains out the bottom near the pump, looks like draining at pump instead into hose. Checked hoses and connections -are good. It will not even fill up but drains right out.

this is 1 of 2 problems. either the pressure switch is no good or the pressure switch hose has a hole in it causing the air pressure from triggering the switch. locate the pressure switch and pull the hose off the end. start the washer and try to blow into the end where the hose was connected. if the water stops then you will need to replace the pressure switch hose. if the water doesn't stop coming in then you will need to replace the pressure switch

SOURCE: Hi, I'm having trouble with

Hi,

Can you check if there is any leak under the washing machine. This will cause the drainage of water whether its soapy water or normal water. There are certain specific ways to determine whether there is any way that the water is getting drained away. I am posting some articles here which will help you to determine it step wise.

If your drain is not high enough, 39 inches, from the ground, it will siphon out. Also if your drain hose is too far down the drain, this will also happen. Just make sure your drain hose in not laying on the ground.

Possible that the motor is not starting up as the starting capacitor to the motor is weak. check if the motor is warm after switching off power. if so it is confirmed. Otherwise it can be due to a belt issue, bearing failure and jamming of the agitator and shaft.
check power to the motor during the wash cycle to confirm , if not the control unit is a suspect.

Washing machine constantly fills

The pressure switch, also called the water level switch, is what control the amount of water goes in the machine, If your machine is constantly filling to the overflow point, then that is your problem. Now, if water is going in and the level is staying the same then your machine drain line is lower than the pump and your siphoning out the water as it goes in. Pull the drain up a little a that should fix the problem.

My washing machine will not hold water during filling at the beginning of the cycle. It will constantly run for about 30 min to an hour. Then it will not switch to the rinse cycle. Please help???

The water is siphoning out the drain line because it is too low or is closed off at the top causing no air to enter the drain.
The drain line should be a minimum of 36 inches from the floor.

You,ve done a good job the first time the pump fail MikieM. You can do it again. We sometimes forget to empty our pocket. Some small metal things could have gotten into the pump...could be other hard foreign object. Good luck.
