You have not said if the cooler is cooling to the correct temperature or achieving the setpoint. Make sure that the correct thermostat has been supplied. Also that the sensor has been installed in the correct location. If all of the above is correct, then I would have the refrigerant level checked.

Will not stop running

Are you referring to the compressor not shutting off down below or the evaporator fan inside the cooling area not shutting off? Evaporator fan always runs the compressor is controlled by the thermostat you could have a bad thermostat if the compressor never shuts off.

Change the thermostat on a true cooler

Not fun the first time. Unplug the unit. There will be a plate with two screws that the thermostat is mounted to either on the right side or right front of the coil cover. Remove the two screws and pull the plate and thermostat down in one piece. Unplug the two wires from the stat and remove the plate from the stat making sure to note which way the plate and thermostat are oriented. The thin capillary from the stat runs up to the back of the coil. You have to reach your hand into the opening created by removing the plate and feel your way to the capillary entrance at the coil. You may be able to just see it through the hole. Make a good mental note of its position in there and pull the old capillary out. Measure how deep the capillary was in there and try to get that far in with the new one. I generally put a little piece of tape on the new capillary about where I want it to stop at the coil. You just want to make sure the capillary is clear of any wires and doesn't rub against anything in its routing. Reinstall is reverse of uninstall.

TRUE COOLER COMPRESSOR CYCLES ON 45 SECONDS AND OFF FOR 2 MINUTES.SEEMS TO COOL FINE MAINTAINS 38 DEGREES, OTHER TRUE COOLER WE HAVE DOES NOT DO THIS...ANY SUGGESTIONS?

The unit has a temperature swing adjustment screw located behind the thermostat plate. If you remove the knob and the face plate you will see it,It can be adjusted there. It may also be the thermostat bulb is going bad or touching something and giving a false signal to the compressor.

True Refrigeration GDM-26 Compressor problem?

More than likely you need a new compressor. It sounds like it's trying to start and then trips on it's "Klixon" overload. Call a commercial refer guy (not somebodys brother in law that works on A/C, it's NOT the same!)

Need help

If you mean the breaker trips it probably is drawing locked rotor amps on compressor. Turn thermostat all the way to the left to turn it off. Restore power to unit. If fans inside stay on, that means the power on still on. Then turn thermostat to the rite to turn it back on. If the power fails again after turning thermostat back on the compressor is probably bad. :(

turn thermostat all the way to the left to turn it off. restore power and see if it stays on and inside fan is running. Then turn thermostat to rite to turn on compressor. If the power trips when turning thermostat back on, the compressor may be bad. :(
