Whenever you install a new program, make sure you turn the computer off and then restart it. If this doesn't help, then re-install the program.

"error" message has replaced the image in many of my thumbnail images and the photo will not open

Probably the images are not lost and do not need to be "recovered". Sounds like something happened to interfere with the operation of the program that knows how to display those images. Perhaps some other software was installed that messed up the program in question, or messed up the "file associations" (the thing that tells the computer that a particular program is used to work with a particular kind of file). I would try reinstalling whatever software program you had been using to view the images in question, i.e. before this problem occurred, when you used to open one of the photos, what program was it that appeared with the photo? That's the program I would reinstall.

How to install a web cam

if you bought a web cam ..usually it come with a driver CD ..and the procedure in this case is to insert the CD in he drive ..and run it ...usually they have an auto-play and installs all drivers suitable for the operation system and if it has programs related..for operating it ..
after you finished installing the driver ..restart the computer and plug the camera ..it will find it and auto-install ..
when the installation is complete ..the camera will be seen by its name and a balloon will notify you in the right area of the task bar that the device is installed and ready to use..
After that ..you can use it to take snaps from my computer folder..or use it for video calls over the instant messaging programs ..or for to capture video using the AM cap program that came on the disk or using the windows movie maker from the operation system ..or any other capturing program ..

Can we use canon ixus 75 as a webcam

A raw image is an uncompressed format your camera takes the picture in. Usually it gets transferred from the camera into a .jpg compressed format to your computer (which simplifies everything and is able to be viewed by anything like photo viewers). I would search for a canon IXUs 75 driver for your computer, and turn your camera 'on' plugged in with your USB using a standard computer photoviewer program to see if it has a live mode?

Loading pic to cd

The answer depends partly on your operating system, and how you want to store the picture(s).

If you're using Win XP, for example, you need a CD Burning program such as Nero or Roxio. Windows' packaged burner doesn't easily allow you to add more pictures later.

With your camera attahced to the computer via the USB cable, turn the camera on, then start your CD burning program. Search until you find the "removable drive" named "Kodak EasyShare", then click on the top folders in each folder list until you get to where your pictures are.

My Kodak Picture CD will not auto load

If your computer is operating with WINDOWS 95, WINDOWS 98, or WINDOWS NT 4.0 Systems, this CD contains software that automatically launches when you insert the CD. Getting Started:
Insert your Picture CD disc and wait for the software to load (it could take as long as 5 minutes, depending on your machine configuration, CD drive speed, and the number of images on the Picture CD).
Note: This loading process installs some Picture CD program files onto your hard drive. The KODAK Picture CD installer walks you through the steps. The final step may be to restart your computer. If so, be sure to restart to complete the installation.
After your computer has rebooted:
  1. Eject the Picture CD and re-insert it into the CD drive.
    The program should launch automatically.
  2. Click the magazine cover to turn to the Contents Page.
  3. Follow the links to read and do more with your digital photos.
If nothing happens after waiting for the Auto Play, you may need to manually start the Auto Play program. (Auto Play is a program that starts up the CD installation process the first time you use the CD.)
To manually start Auto Play:
  1. Right-click the My Computer icon.
  2. Select Properties from the pop-up menu.
  3. Click the Device Manager tab.
  4. Click the CD-ROM drive icon; click the "+" to view the CD-ROM drive information.
  5. Double-click the CD-ROM driver icon.
  6. Select Properties from the pop-up menu.
  7. Click Settings.
  8. Check Auto insert notification and click OK.
Note: This enables all CDs to automatically run any Auto Play software.

Can run photoviewer program for photo keychain

Your computer will certainly have its own program for viewing photos. For example, if you are using Windows XP, you just right click on a photo file and choose "preview". It can be difficult to find the photos on your computer if you have been using one of the silly organizers that come with cameras. You can search for a photo if you know its filename or for *.jpg to find all the photos on your hard drive.

What is an ISSET_SE error?

When you attempt to install the PhotoMAX software from your CD-ROM drive, you may receive the following error message: "ISSET_SE caused a general protection fault in module (FILENAME) at (ADDRESS) where (FILENAME) is the name of the program file you are trying to run, and (ADDRESS) is the memory address at which the error occurs." This is an error that can occur with Windows 95 and 98 under certain conditions -- it does not indicate an error with the PhotoMAX software. This (error message) can occur if any of the following conditions exists: * Norton AntiVirus version 4.04 is installed and Norton AutoProtect is enabled. * You use LiveUpdate for Norton AntiVirus to download an updated version of Norton AntiVirus. * Microsoft IntelliPoint software is installed on your computer, and the Point32 program is currently running. * Microsoft IntelliMouse or Microsoft IntelliMouse Trackball software is installed on your computer, and the Mswheel program is currently running.

Can I use the PDC 1100 camera with Windows XP?

Yes, you can use the camera with Windows XP, but you will no longer be able to use a USB port to download your photos. Start the Wizard by clicking the Start button and choosing All Programs > Accessories > Program Compatibility Wizard. Follow the on-screen prompts. 3. On the second screen, select I want to use the program in the CD-ROM Drive and click Next. 4. Select Microsoft Windows 98/Windows Me and click Next. NOTE: You may have to scroll down to see this option. 5. Uncheck the following items: * 256 colors * 640 X 480 Screen Resolution * Disable Visual Themes 6. Click Next. 7. Click Next again. The PhotoMAX software will begin installing. Follow the on-screen prompts. 8. Follow on-screen prompts to finish the installation and click Finish. 9. When the Compatibility Wizard asks if the program worked correctly select Yes and click Next. 10. When the program asks if you want to send information to Microsoft, select No and click Next to finish the installation. 11. Shut down and restart the computer. After the restart, you should be able to download photos using Windows XP.
