-2 although below freezing temperature, is not really enough to keep food really frozen. I am presuming we are talking in Celcuis. You need to set the freezer to a lower setpoint.

It's Fahrenheit, actually. I believe you can change it to Celsius. In ours, it was the Defrost Controller that was the culprit. Samsung approved service center replaced it for a bunch of money, but it failed again 5 months later. Now they want to charge us a bunch of money to check it, but if we pay and they find out it's the same problem, the new part MAY be under warranty from the first replacement. It's crappy, actually. Manually defrosting will solve everything for a while, and you can either keep doing it this way or replace the Defrost Controller. Don't expect any kind of good Customer Support from Samsung. They're very friendly, while denying that there's a design flaw with the freezer.

I have same problem, it usually happens after someone leaves door open too long or after 4-6 months. I usually place two frozen milk jugs full of water in the upper fridge and tape the upper fridge door closed at night before bed so the kids don't open and let the upper food get warm., Unplug the fridge and open the freezer and remove all drawers (place excess frozen food in freezer in garage) , leaving the freezer open with a towel in the bottom to catch the melting water from the back panels inside and the next morning wipe the fridge bottom clean and plug it back up and replace everything. I hate that I paid so much for this fridge and have to defrost a couple times a year. However found out too late to return back to the store. It seams like it should have a cycle that heats the back plate every so often to warm and evaporate the ice that collects, but I haven't heard or can't find anything on that.

The cold control needs replacing. Thats the knob with the numbers that turn the Ref OFF and ON.
What I do is call my local Appliance Parts Store with my model no. They are extremely helpful .
Get freezer and ref thermometer. Ref is probably too cold.
Freezer should be 0 to 10 degrees. Ref 33 to 35

WATER SPLASHING IN FREEZER AT ICEMAKER
THE FILL TUBE IN BACK OF REFRIGERATOR CAN SLIP
AGAINST THE FILL RESERVOIR CAUSING A PARTIAL BLOCKAGE
OR BECOME CLOGGED WITH ICE.
REMOVE THE ICEMAKER AND INSPECT THE FILL TUBE.
RUN WATER IN TUBE TO ELININATE BLOCKAGE AND CHECK
TEMP IN FREEZER. IF TEMP IS BELOW 0 DEGREES, THATS
OVERKILL AND USUALLY A WASTE OF ELECTRICITY TO KEEP IT THAT COLD, NOT TO MENTION THE FILL TUBE FREEZING UP

When The Temperature Setting Is On 1 The Food In The Freezer Dosent Stay Completely Frozen But When i move it up to setting 2 it freezes things in the fridge...and theres water leaking out the back

Do you just adjust the fresh food side or do you adjust the freezer setting too? Post the model # . does the unit have knobs or buttons for setting temp? Does food freeze in one particular part of the fresh food side or evenly throughout?

Freezer will not keep foods frozen fridge will not keeep temp.

Sounds like a main control board problem keeping the freezer fan from working . If no air flow to the top of the freezer , the icemaker will stop working and the ice will begin to melt ( leaking from freezer ) . The coils will start to freeze up due to no air flow across them . If continued for a period of time , the cold air could return thru the return vent located in the bottom of the ref/freezer section and freeze the water tank in the refrig section , causing the no water thru dispensor .

Samsung refrigerator freezer not freezing

I just returned the same fridge to Lowe's where I bought it using the warranty for the same problem. The temperature sensors went out, and everyone said the computer board needed to be replaced but no one could seem to get it together enough to order us one. Month later we are getting a new fridge.

Freezer not freezing properly, ice on back wall

Ice on the back wall indicates a problem with the defrost cycle. The ice builds up and starts to choke off the air flow, so your symptoms would indicate that may be happening.

Defrost problems are usually any of the three components, the heater element, the defrost termination temp switch, or the defrost timer.

Freezer not keeping things frozen

Ice cream requires a significantly lower freezing point than other foods. Keep it near the blowers or coils in most freezers and you'll be OK. Turn up the freezer a bit, and if it is all the way then move it away from the wall a bit more hope this helps!
