The first thing you should do is to locate the oil pressure switch/sending unit.

This switch serves two functions.

1) provide oil pressure reading

2) disable the fuel pump relay in event of oil pressure loss.

===

When this switch is failing to provide the correct pressure to the ECU. The wiring harness can overheat and eventually create a short.

ECM1 fuse blow is because the harness is grounding/shorting.

===

DO NOT drive the truck until you change the oil pressure switch.

After you change the switch,you should spend sometime to inspect the wiring between the fuel pump relay,ECU and fuel pump.

Please post up day on the comment window/page.

I will follow up on it later.

Good luck.

check for spark, if no spark then check cap and rotor,if the cap is bad be careful because you can blow the muffler right off your truck if raw fuel is in exhaust system.i've seen more bad caps than coils but coils do go out.good luck,mike

Car wont start, no dash board lights.

Check the fuses in the under hood fuse/relay box. There are a number of fuses that feed various the ignition switch, as well as, branch circuits. Depending on your exact year and model, C or K and 1500 or 2500, the fuses are slight different. It would be best to check that they are all not blown.

Quick question: have you recently replaced your starter? I have seen this issue before. There is a metal dust cover over the starter that is clipped in place. I have seen these dust covers make contact with the starter wire during crank and blow the ignition fuse.

Check for "Ignition crank sensors" GMC's are well known for water on these sensors and eating them up causing "no start" Hope this helps

The ignition switch is locked

Try turning the stearing wheel and turn the key. This usually happens when your vehicle is sitting or parked in awkward position.

THE IGN A FUSE UNDER THE HOOD KEEPS POPPING

You have a serious short. The fuse is keeping you from frying the electrical system. Did you make any changes to the vehicle recently? Is it all stock electrical? If so, check the Ignition relay in the alternate fuse panel. If that does not work, post a reply and I'll help you dig further. Hope this helps

Keep blowing fuses under hood.

REMOVE THE FUSES ONE AT A TIME FOR EACH ITEM ON THE 50 AMP CIRCUIT. I WOULD START WITH THE POWER WINDOW FUSE FIRST. IT WOULD BE THE MOST LIKELY SOURCE OF A HIGH VOLTAGE DRAW. THEN GO ON TO THE WIPERS AND SO FORTH.
