The first thing you should do is to locate the oil pressure switch/sending unit.

This switch serves two functions.

1) provide oil pressure reading

2) disable the fuel pump relay in event of oil pressure loss.

===

When this switch is failing to provide the correct pressure to the ECU. The wiring harness can overheat and eventually create a short.

ECM1 fuse blow is because the harness is grounding/shorting.

===

DO NOT drive the truck until you change the oil pressure switch.

After you change the switch,you should spend sometime to inspect the wiring between the fuel pump relay,ECU and fuel pump.

Good luck.

Backed out drive.engine died,cranks good but no fire at any spark plugs,fuel pump not working either.tried to hook up scanner ,wont connect, just says linking error

The fact that the scanner will not communicate with the computer,no spark,fuel. tells me this is probably a power issue check all the fuses underhood and on left side of dash with ignition switch on, paying attention to the ones marked ecm1 ecm2 i suspect you have a wire rubbed thru somewhere and backing out of driving you bumped on the curb and caused it to short out. if you find a blown fuse follow your harness and see if any signs of rubbing thru this is time of year mice look for a warm spot so could have had a little late night snack on your wiring!!! let me know what you find and we will go from there

My 2005 Yukon AC blower is not blowing. THe

There is a service bulletin for this problem which replaces the blower resistor and connector. Mine had the same problem while on vacation. No fan speed control, and when it did work, the fan would keep running after the vehicle was shut off. Mine is currently in the shop getting the service bulletin installed.

Ecm fuse keeps blowing

just fixed this problem, change your fuel pump module, fuel sending unit shorts out on fuel level swing arm blue wire... unfortinately you must replace it as unit because of the design, fuel pump and tank guage fuel level sending unit are a one peice item, fuel tank has to come out to change unit, about a $ 700.00 repair too... fuel pump module runs about 350 to 700 $ depending on aftermarket or factory, try to find one with a lifetime warranty even if it is $ 50.00 more worth it..labor is about $ 250 to $ 400 depending on shop labor rate... definate problem though I ahve no doubt, common problem on GM... please rate my help, thanks...

2001 Jimmy shut down while driving. The ECM1 fuse blew. Replaced fuse and it blew. disconected circuits related to ECM1 fuse. reconected one circuit at a time. Fuse did not blow and Jimmy started. Why?

The first thing you should do is to locate the oil pressure switch/sending unit.

It's a single wire terminal with plastic connect sensor from the engine block.

This switch serves two functions.

1) provide oil pressure reading

2) disable the fuel pump relay in event of oil pressure loss.

Climate control 04 yukon denali

I would try resetting both sides. i.e., Set both sides to hot, then back down to cool. Also check your fuse. I am not sure, but would think, you have a fuse for all these different items. It is time consumming, but look through and find your blown fuse. Hope it helps.
