SOURCE: I have a Haier microwave and tonight after heating some food, I went to close the door and upon closing it, the carousel started turning and it won't shut off.

It sounds like one of the door switches has become defective, each must be disconnected on the one side and tested with a digital meter using the ohms scale.

The door mechanism is stuck in the closed position and the door won't close

Push in the door button. While pushing in the button, take a screwdriver and pry up on the door mechanism on the end of the door. Should unlock and allow the door to shut again.

My amana bottom freeze refridgerator door in opening a little when the top door is closed. do i need to adjust the screws or is it something with the seal?

raise the front legs so the machine is tilted back a little, this will help the top door close easier, also most likely you have nothing heavy on the door itself, all a fridge does is move air,the evaporator coil gets cold and the evap. fan blows cold air from the freezer into the fridge side and the air keeps circulating, when you shut the top door it's pushing the air down into the freezer and popping the door open, like i said raise the front legs a little and put stuff on the freezer door so it has some wieght to it and it won't pop open.hope this helps salde

Door won't close

Check to see if anything is restricting it from closing inside of the crevice where the wheel travels and locks. Sometimes debris from trees, dirt or rocks can clog it up.

Drivers-side rear door won't engage-interior bell chimes constantly

Make sure the rear cargo lid is shut. Then if it still appears to be the door, then remove the jam switch in the door sill. The switches usually separate the wires when the door closes. You do not want to lose the wiring inside the doorjam and you do not want to leave a hole open either.
Tie a string on the wiring and/or tape the wiring to the doorjam until you can get a new switch. Tape the wire ends to prevet shorting.

I have a Magic Chef refrigerator Model GT17A7V, Serial 11993269QS. It does have wheels, but we needed to adjust the wheels in order to make it easier to roll. Problem: The refrig & freezer doors now...

Unfortunately, when you adjusted the wheels to be able to roll it easier, you thru off the tilt required for your doors to swing the way they should.

You are going to have to adjust them again, to have a front (high) to back (low) tilt. If you have a right hinged model it should be adjusted very slightly higher than the left.

Doors don't swing shut automatically

The GE side by side refrigerator has 2 cams on the bottom hinge that helps shut the door. If the cam wears out then the door will not close properly. One of the cams is riveted to the hinge assembly and an extra cam is shipped with it. The cam assemblies can easily be replaced by using the information on the Partselect.com website that refers to the GE TFX22R refrigerator.

Freezer door pops open.

normal operation actually, gaskets are designed to seal door closed not to hold them closed, first off check the items on the shelves make sure nothing stick to far out preventing good closing.next the refrig should be tilted slightly back. to aid in the doors swinging closed( the should close automatically form 45 degrees.)ok for them to "pop" open so long as they close back shut. this works on top freezers and bottomr freezer refigs, sidex sides use a differnet system of closing, if htats the case look into replacing door closures(cams) located under hte door assy
