Question about E-Machines emachines (emachinees) CD-ROM Drive

1 Answer

Can not find CD driver.

I think I deleted my CD driver from "My Computer" I see it in Device Manager but it has a little yellow triangle with an "!" inside the triangle beside the CD driver name. I done a "restore" but it didn't go back far enough. I don't know what to do. Any help will be welcome.

You may try this:
- Right Click on the Yellow exclamation under the Device Manager and select Update driver.
- And it will automatically search for the driver from the Internet.

My computer not display cd-rom

Hi there,

Plese try to go to the device manager:

-Hold down the windows key on your keyboard then press the letter R
-When the Run box comes up type devmgmt.msc
-check the disk drive and see if the cd-rom drive has a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark

If it has:

-Open the Run box again
-Type in regedit
-go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
-delete the upper and lower filters (may have both or it may only have one of them)
-close regedit and exit the computer

If you can't see the Cd-rom on the device manager:

-See if you can reseat the connection of your Cd-Drive to the motherboard
-If it's a laptop you might need to call the computer manufacturer to check the hardware

Hope you find this helpful

Dvd burner wouldn't close session - won't eject - now computer not acknowledging disk in cd-rom and it won't manually open. Rebooted several times. Rebooting taking longer now.
