1 Answer

Can not find CD driver.

I think I deleted my CD driver from "My Computer" I see it in Device Manager but it has a little yellow triangle with an "!" inside the triangle beside the CD driver name. I done a "restore" but it didn't go back far enough. I don't know what to do. Any help will be welcome.

You may try this:
- Right Click on the Yellow exclamation under the Device Manager and select Update driver.
- And it will automatically search for the driver from the Internet.

Drivers for this device, click Reinstall Driver.code 28

Code 28 is a little ambigiuos as it just means the driver didn't load, or there is no driver or the driver is corrupt or the driver is the wrong one.
I suspect if you look in Device Manager, you will see a yellow triangle. Click on it, remove it and re boot the computer. It will re load it, hopefully in the right configuration.
Is it for a CD Rom by any chance?

I think I deleted some files by mistake - now I have no sound driver. How would I install one? I have Windows XP.

The simplest way is find out either the pc model and got to the manufacturers web page and download the drivers ffrom there. or alternatively get the motherboard number type it into you internet exploreer and see if the manufacturer has a web page and download the drivers. Then go to you device manager easiest to get there is place your mouse over my computer the right click the icon and go to properties then the haedware tab and then device manager. In here are all the device drivers for the pc if you have any icon with a yellow triangle this indicates a driver problem then highlight the driver that is causing the problem and delete the device. Then scan the computer this option is at the top, the device will be detected then install the drivers.
Note sometimes the computer doesnt pick the device up correctly and this is were it is important you get the driver first so you dont cause yourself problems later .

hope this helps

Not displayed in my computer, but displayed in device manager with yellow exclamtion mark code39 driver error

Install its driver I think. If this device is in the yellow mark in device manager. Have it go to update driver or install driver. The exclamation mark should be gone. Or better install its bundled software application

HOPe this one helps

System does not recognize CD/DVD Drive

The yellow triangle means there is no driver installed. There is 3 ways to get a driver. In most cases you right click on the hardware in Device Manager and download driver or reboot and Plug n Play should pick up driver automatically. If none of those work then the only option is to load it thru the add/removal in the control panel using the disc that accompanies the softeare.

My cd rom is not reading i think it is missing a driver

The yellow triangle is signifying that there is a problem with the drive. Usually it is a driver that has gotten corrupted. Try uninstalling the drive in your device manager then reboot. See if Windows reinstalls the drive automatically. 99% of the time this will fix the problem. Hope this helps & please take a moment to rate this solution. Thanks.

Trying to install external DVD and it won't load! Why? I get a yellow flag in device manager!

Often you should install the drivers (using device CD), before you connect the external device to your computer.
1) Delete the driver from device manager,
2) disconnect the drive from computer,
3) restart computer,
4) install the driver (using device CD),
5) after driver is successfuly installed,
6) connect the external device.
