this machine was bought last year before we moved and I misplaced the
machine manuals before I ever got a chance to sew anything. My problem
is I don't know too much about this machine. I went from a White home
machine to this mini walking foot - they're quite a bit different. I'm
a guitar amp tech/builder and when I sell one of my amps I like to make
a custom cover for it to protect it from bumps, scrapes, and dust.
Could anyone help me with some basic pointers; like how to thread the
needle, set the tension, how to adjust the tread-per-inch, etc?? I
bought the machine from the East Coast and live 100 miles east of San
Francisco, so I'm not near any sewing center that would carry another
manual, or pictorials.
Thanks for the time, Ron

I have and have used this machine for years but have always had trouble setting the tension correctly. I used to know how to thread it but I haven't used it for a coulple of years and was hoping to get a refresher on threading it.

I need a manual or help on why I can't seem to get it to sew again. I filled the bobbin and it seems to pull up the thread but does not sew right and did not seem to pull up like before. Any help I would be greatfull, thanks

the Thompson is a table top portable industrial walking foot sewing
machine. It's considered by many to be an economical alternative to a full
table industrial, because you can usually get them for between $400-500 US.
Personally I have heard mixed reports on how well they sew, but lots of
people have them and use them.

for a small consideration.
Sorry I don't know anything about this particular machine, but all
machines thread in a similar order: make sure you get the thread in all
the guides on the way to the tension, properly seated in the tension,
and then through the thread take up lever before going on to the needle.

slightly restyled Thompson mini-walker. The only difference is the thread
path is slightly different (the tension is on the front as opposed to on the
end) and it is painted red. They sell the manual separately. The manual is
quite good and goes far more into detail than most manuals. I have a
Thompson and this manual. It is definitely worth having. If you have any
specific questions regarding this machine, send me an email and I'm sure I
can help you out. #
