You need to find out why the pilot is going out.First is the heater getting to hot?Look for a reset. If the pliot is giong out when you try lighning it then the thermocoupen is bad. That is the thing that senser the flame form the pliot.

I light pI lot and it stays lit burners light and reach temp but then burners wont relight to keep temp unless I tap gas valve..is it my gas valve

A lot of pilot lights have a thermal coupler... the pilot light must be lit for several min to open the coupler so the pilot light will not go out.... the newer systems use an electronic ignition and no pilot light and need power to autostart but the coupler may be gone if you are holding that pilot start button down for several min and the pilot light is still going out..ps.. leave it in pilot mode for several min after initial start up before turning turning full burner operation operation operation operation operation operation operation it will snuff out the pilot light.

Pilot light wont light. The gas is on. Would it be thermacoupling gone out?

Sounds like a fuel problem. Pilot should light as long as plunger is depressed.

It heats up it goes red hot then red light comes on then does not work on gas

-Possibly the gas line is closed. If closed, open it. If it's open

then the pilot is gone. You need to manually light the pilot.

Good Luck

I stopped the device. I don't know how to restart it.

Hold in your pilot button, then push the spark button repeatedly to light your pilot. Once its lit, hold that pilot button in for 30 seconds to heat your thermocouple. once its heated, release the button, and slide the slider to burner position. Turn on hot water fixtures to get the unit to light

PILOT LIGHT KEEPS GOING OUT.

If the pilot flame is weak, when the main burner is ignited, there can be enough 'whoosh' of air and gas to blow out the pilot. There may be a little of grit in the pilot valve jet hole restricting the flow, hence the weak flame. Try using a piece of fine wire to clear the obstruction. If that does not help the pilot jet will have to be unscrewed and cleaned with compressed air. Ensure the gas is turned off before attempting any maintenance.

Pilot light will not stay on Bosch natural gas tankless water hea

Check to make sure the flame of the pilot is hitting the thermocoupling. If not then you can use compressed air to clean the pilot port and relight and check again. If the flame is hitting the thermocouple, then it may need to be replaced.

My hot water has gone off. It was working this morning and the pilot light has not gone out. How can I check for other explainations?

The pilot light is working so you know you have gas but you also know that the gas is not coming on. The pilot flame should be bright blue with the tip of the flame having a ting of yellow. A yellow flame is caused by a dirty pilot tube tip. Split flame is caused by dirt in the pilot tube. If the flame is not hot enough it will not tell the thermocoupler to turn the gas on. If the thermostat has not been moved and is still at the correct setting then I would suspect the thermocouple is bad. The thermocouple is mounted right next to the pilot light. It senses if the flame is hot enough for the gas to come on. If the pilot flame is not touching the coupler then it will not allow the gas to be turned on to the burner. Check the thermocoupler and see if the flame is touching the probe on the end. If not adjust it until the pilot flame is touching the coupler. If the flame is properly adjusted then replace the thermocoupler but shut off the gas supply before doing so. It will look like this. 0ec43e2.png

Pilot light gone out. How do I relight? Which

In general, large button from gas valve push in & hold 20-30 secs at same time push electronic lighter/ignition button to light pilot. Remember to hold in only gas button. the pilot light heats up a thermo couple [u can see this in the flame] and when hot enough allows the main gas through and the pilot to remain on.
If not then either thermo couple not heated for long enough or
it may need replacing

I don't know how to restart my old bosch water wizard 10p, pilot light has gone out.

get a long stick match, a flashlight remove lower inspection cover, find thermocouple and pilot light will be next to it,turn gas valve to pilot light and hold down, stick the match in by thermocouple till the pilot lights and hold valve down till pilot stays lit, this may take a minute or more, then release gas valve and see if pilot stays lit, if not retry,if it wont stay lit,the thermocouple is defective and needs replacement
