Re: my roper wont do anything
Is you washer sitting on a carpeted floor? If so ther is not enough air flow under it for the motor to not overheat. Maybe by now 4-3-09 it's functioning if not post me your model number. If it's on carpet raise it up with 3/4 inch boards under the feet.

I don't know if the problem is solved but last night we ran the washer without any clothes in it and everything seemed to work fine. My wife was able to run a load of laundry and it seemed to work. I hope it was just too much clothes the first time it stopped or the washer was just acting up. Either way, I had nothing to do with the fix. Sorry I couldn't be any more help. Thank you for the link to assistance plan, it might come in handy in the future.
this unit might have a triple valve water soliniod, one for hot, one for cold, and one for rinse cycle. you can check by taking the top off and looking in the back were the hoses attach. the top comes off by 3 or 2 screws on the back of the machine near the top. now run a load of laundry and listen at this water valve when the time is right, be careful not to touch anything, if you don't feel good about doing this then don't. kelly
Most washers have a small screen at the water inlet valve. They can be accessed simply by revoving the hose from the back side of the washer, using a small screw driver you can carefully remove the screens and clean them out under a faucet. That may be all that is wrong.
