You have to give more space for virtual meomory, this is called paging file problem, when your pc try to shutdown it doesnot have enough memory to close the services that opened by windows, so go to my computer, hit properites, then advanced, then uder performances hit setting, select the best performance and hit apply, before you exit this, hit advance again, and go down to virtual memory and select the higest number.change it and put the higest number. for more information visit this:

Power light blinking on nv53a gateway

Your Gateway laptop comes with a series of LED lights that alert you to the state of your computer. You'll notice there are blue, purple and red lights that either blink or display solidly. Each light, blinking or solid, has a different meaning. The blue blinking light on your laptop indicates that it is in Standby mode. Your laptop goes into Standby when you close its lid without shutting down the computer. To turn this light off, you'll need to take the computer out of Standby mode, and if you want to ensure that the blinking blue light does not return, shut down the computer after each use.

Open the lid of your Gateway laptop and press the power button. Once Windows loads, enter your password if required. The blue light will no longer be blinking because the computer is no longer in Standby mode. Shut the laptop off when you finish using it rather than simply closing the lid to stop the blue light from blinking again. Click "Start" from your Windows desktop and click "Shut down." Change your computer's power settings to keep if from going into Standby mode when you close the lid if you'd rather not shut down your computer every time you use it. Click "Start" and click "Control Panel." Click "System and Security" and then click "Power Options." Click "Choose what closing the lid does" from the list of options on the left side of the window. Select "Hibernate" from the drop-down lists under "On Battery" and "Plugged In." Click "Save Changes." Your laptop will now bypass Standby mode when you close the lid and it will enter Hibernate mode instead. Hope it helps.

How to remove the keyboard on a Fujitsu Amilo pi3660?

Most keyboards are secured by the cover that's over the top of the key that normally has the power button on it. First, close the lid, turn the laptop over and remove the screws from the back of the laptop. Some screws might have the icon of a keyboard on them that are securing the keyboard.
Remove the battery and notice inside the battery case if there are any screws, if so remove them. Sometimes there will be keys with a keyboard icon inside the battery case that secures the keyboard.

Turn the laptop back over and open the lid. With a flat head screw driver lift the part that is above the keyboard and under the lcd screen. Be careful because it might have a cable on it that you will have to remove.
Once it is removed look to see if there are any screws holding the keyboard and if so remove them. Gently lift the keyboard up, sometimes it might be under some little ridges on each side, if so work with one side first lifting it up by pushing it inward a little as you lift up. The keyboard definitely has a cable under it so be careful. Once you have the keyboard up unlatch the the cable then you can complete remove the keyboard.

My compaq pc notebook is dead. The power light is on and i can hear the cd click but screen is black and won't load a cd either. then the computer shuts down completely and tries to boot up again. I did...

Base from the description of your problem , this seems to be a motherboard failure already. The blacking out of your screen before this problem started is a sign of something on the motherboard is already failing.

Now since the computer will just power ON and automatically shut itself down is definitely an implication of motherboard and processor failure it can be due to overheating problem, so if you want to continue using this laptop a motherboard replacement is needed, you can take replace it by yourself if you have any experience doing those kind of things but if not better take it to a repair shop or better yet do a upgrade and get a new laptop then.

Yes, you would notice the problems immediately. The problems that would occur would be hardware short circuiting.

10 minutes of background processing when coming out of stand-by...What is going on

Click Start, Run, type msconfig. Click the startup tab. There will be a list of all the programs that start up when your computer starts. You should uncheck everything you don't need. Pretty much everything except antivirus.

13 partitions?

1 or 2 Partitions is considered normal, 3 is over the top. But 13 is outrageous - however sometimes this can be caused due to several storage devices being plugged in to the computer. Sometimes if a card reader is installed in the computer, it installs many different drives in the computer regardless if you have no cards inside the card reader or not. If none of that applies to you, then for some reason - you have been set up with a strange amount of partitions, or AVG is reporting the wrong amount of partitions. The best way to check this is to right click My Computer, go to Manage and then select disk management, it will show you how many physical storage devices you have attached and how many partitions they have each.
