We recently upgraded a PC used for high speed scanning from 98 to XP.
Also included in the upgrade was Paper Port 9.0. When using the application
to scan with a Ricoh IS450DE B&W scanner, we are unable to use the Twain 270
driver. There is a WIA driver installed. The Scanner is connected with a
SCSI card.
On another PC with a new model scanner installed and XP , the Scanner does
not show in My Computer on the broken one, it does.
My question after all of that is, how do I get rid of the driver that
windows installed, or at least disable the auto install of the scanner?

that you don't want installed, or disable plug and play detection.

driver. It works fine using the WIA Driver, but the twain driver will not
coexist. They share the same DLL. I just cannot figure out where to get rid
of the driver and then not allow the auto install which reinstalls it every
time I startup.

Why are you asking that question? Did you bother to check that your SCSI
scanner was compatible with XP?
