The card works with normal vga driver not with matox driver. I get "An Fatal
Exception 0E occured at 0028:C00149B in VXD VMM(01) +0001309B"
all the time. But when I pulled the slider down in grafic acceleration view
to
0 or 1 (out of 4) it works quiet good except I can??t reboot or turn off the
computer. Even though I got the win 98 se shutdown fix.
My computer: intel celeron 400 ( no overclocking)
: Epox P2-133A (via apollo pro+)
:128 mb ram (pc 100)
: IBM deckstar
Would be very happy for help in this matter

At the site # they say
"Not compatible with the Matrox DVD module or the Rainbow Runner G. Hardware
DVD and RRG users can use the 4.33m driver." which I still don??t
have but have a better experiance with the 4.xx driver since I belive the
Matrox
Powerdesk is slightly incompatible with my system.

Yes I have done what the Matrox people suggested to do in that matter. I
have
since the date of G400 (dual-head) purchase installed and uninstalled with
the specific Matrox uninstaller, driver versions; 5.20.013, 5.25.019,
5.30.007 and are currently using 5.41.008. But since I had the same problem
with my former G200 and solved the problem with the use of an older driver
than came with the card, wich worked, I wonder if I can use a driver
designed for G200 with my G400 as the Matrox people vaugly suggest at their
page on G400 compatible with add-on Matrox cards. The driver in question is
4.33.m. I don??t have an add-on card but it seemes like an idea.

Did you download the latest drivers from Matrox - and did you install them
exactly according to their directions on doing so?
