Question about HP Pavilion dv9000z Notebook
I have a dv9000 the computer boots and displays a mirror image split by a white line horizontally across screen we have replaced MB and this still displays the problem HP told us it would be a MB fault
Anyone seen this problem before
Sounds like the NVIDIA chip. I had a guy on ebay fix mine a month or so ago for a real good price but I wasn't able to find the listing to give you the information.

I have exact same problem. Split screen top and bottom. I had it checked out by a tech and they said it needs a new MB and Hard drive. They said it would cost $1900. Every now and then it comes good for anf hour or so. However, have you had the problem fixed yet? Could it be the NVIDIA Video card? I haver heard these can be trouble. A fault that HP knew about. Have you found a solution?
