Question about Bosch Nexxt 500 WFMC3301 Front Load Washer

1 Answer

Door to my washing machine is locked and I can not open it.

I was washing my kids car seat covers on delicate cycle. It stopped in wash mode and the E:04 showed up in the time window. It said in the manual that the it was either the suds or the pump was blocked. I am not able to find where the pump is located, to check if it is blocked. Also the door is locked and I can not get it open. I need to get my car seat covers out ASAP so they will dry for tomorrow. Is there a manual way to unlock the washing machine door?

Won't drain E04. (had a small object jamming the impeller). Unpuug. Open the round access plate on the bottom right by rotating with a small rod in the 1/8" hole. Pull the white stick hanging on the right to unlock the door. Shopvac to empty the tub, then hold the vac to the drain to catch the rest of the water as you slooooowly unscrew the large black cover to access the impeller. Just be really careful when reaching into the hole to unscrew. I'm going to get my hand stitched up now...

I have the same machine, the pump is behind the round door at the bottom of the machine. use a heavy paper clip puched into the little hole to unlock it andwith a rattle motion turn the door clockwise and it will pop off. the pump is right behind it. It's a big screw cap, you will get wet if the machine still has water in it. Use a wet vac if you have one to catch the water. there is also a white plastic door release handle hanging there just a little tug with the machine off and the door will open. good luck ,Chuck

How do I unlock a whirlpool duet washer

from a previous discussion:

Wait at least three minutes after the end of the cycle before attempting to unlock your Whirlpool washer. The door will not unlock until the motor speed equals 0 and 180 seconds have elapsed since the motor control unit received the "Stop" command. If the water in the washer is warmer than 122 degrees Fahrenheit or the water level is set higher than Wool, Delicate or Hand Wash, the washer must drain before the door latch will unlock 2 Hold down the "Control Lock" button on your Whirlpool washer for three seconds at the end of the washing cycle. Listen, and when you hear the unlatching sound, the door should open.3 If your Whirlpool washer did not unlock at the end of Step 1, press and hold the "End of Cycle" button for five seconds to manually reset your washing machine.4 Unplug your Whirlpool washer and leave it unplugged for 45 minutes. After 45 minutes, plug your washer back in. The washer's programming should be reset and the door should open.5 Manually unlock the door of your Whirlpool washing machine. Make sure to unplug the appliance before completing the manual unlock. Use a screwdriver to remove the metal strip, called the toe panel, at the bottom of the washing machine. Once you've removed the toe panel, reach up inside the front panel of the washer and feel around for the door latch. Locate the tear-drop shaped tab at the bottom of the door latch and pull it gently. When you hear a click, the door should open.

Why would a whirlpool duet sport model number WFW8300SW05 starts fine stops during cycle. No error codes door locked red light on water in machine.

you have a plugged or partial plugged drain pump for sure. maybe there is a 20 stuck in it this time! easy to find just follow the drain hose back and you will find your pump.
also could be the cycle your using has a bad area in timing cct. check a different cycle like the delicate cycle and that will confirm pump or cycle

My Sharp washing machine model es-s520p is always on auto-lock. so i forced the lid to open before it locks. now, my washing machine detects that its closed.. repeated blinking red lights on delicate...

the lid lock system was designed to really lock the lid during a 'spin mode operation to avoid accidents..pushing the on/off power botton usually releases the lock I can imagine that the lock/release solenoidis now 'jammed and it is best to replace it..you will have to open the top part of your washing machine to do that..2 visible screws on the sides and 2 hidden screws behind the rear portion of the top cover..be careful with this repair job electricity can kill people..good luck

Machine will run through entire cycle and will not spin. It quits at the spin cycle. I checked the Black boot at the bottom. Removed and cleared out coins. Checked pump- it was turning freely. Reinstalled...

I had a similar problem and found out the "latch" on the washer door broke off. The machine won't run in spin cycle if the door is"open", but it would run through the wash cycle.

    Service Mode

    System Diagnostics
    SERVICE MODE
The service mode provides service personnel the
ability to verify the operation of the washing machine.
The service mode can be entered in the middle of
any wash cycle. While in the service mode, the
servicer can start a variety of special service tests.
    Accessing Service Mode:
Pressing down the delicates and heavy soil keys for
3 seconds places the machine in the service mode.
Motor speed will be displayed when started. To exit
Service Mode, press delicates and heavy soil keys
    for 3 seconds again.

    Quick Service Cycle
While in service mode, pressing the delicates key
will start a quick service cycle. This will be a quick
    check of all systems.
The following steps will be followed.
    1. Energize the cold and bleach water valves. Fill to
Low level, then turn bleach and cold off.
    2. Energize the hot and fabric softener water valves. Fill
to high level, then turn all valves off.
    3. Lock the door.
    4. Tumble using 7/3 tumble pattern for 12 sec.
    5. Turn the drain on.
    6. Spin to 800 RPM using default rates.
    7. End spin and coast down.
    8. Unlock the door when the RPM is zero.
    9. Display a ‘PA’ (Passed) on continuously for 10 seconds
if no diagnostic codes were logged during this
    test.
The up arrow if pressed will advance to the next step.
The right most dot will be turned on as an indication
of failure and stay on until quick service cycle test
has reached the end. Any diagnostic code logged
during this test will result in failure of the test, but will
not necessarily stop the test. While in quick service
cycle, the pressing of the hand wash will suspend
the machine at this step for 30 minutes until the
Hand Wash key is pressed again. All LED’s will
flash on and off while the cycle is suspended, or on
    hold.
    Motor Drive System
To check the system, check the board for proper
output to the motor control. Performing a board
output test does this. Then perform the Motor
    Control Board Output Test.
    Motor Control Board Output Test
    1. Disconnect power to the washer.
    2. Remove the front panel and pull the JP4 Connector
    from the motor control board.
The following Quick Spin test steps are as follows:
    1) Lock the door.
    2) Spin to 350 rpm and hold for 6 seconds.
    3) Spin to 550 rpm and hold for 6 seconds.
    4) Spin to 600 rpm and hold for 6 seconds.
    5) Spin to 650 rpm and hold for 6 seconds.
    6) Spin to 800 rpm and hold for 6 seconds.
If the Spin key is pressed again during the Quick Spin
test, the current speed will be held indefinitely. Pressing
the Spin key again will allow the quick test to
    proceed as listed above.
When the washer is in the Service Mode, the speed
will be displayed as a two digit number or a letter/
    number.
    Quick Spin Test
While in service mode, the pressing of spin key shall
start the washer in the quick spin mode.
    3. Reconnect the washer power cord to supply
voltage. Make sure the door is closed.
    4. Press delicates and heavy soil keys for 3 seconds
    to activate Service Mode.
