We would like to migrate a few hundred GB of current data attached to a
mixture of Netware 4.11 and NT servers to a SAN fronted primarily by a
Netware 6 cluster.
We are looking closely at the IBM FastT700 storage system connected to X-
series servers. (The disk system is similar to the StorageTek D178
produced by LSI Logic.) I have seen little, but conflicting, information
on the use of Netware 6 cluster with this hardware.
Does anyone have a successful (or disastorous) experience with this
hardware? Suggestions regarding the set-up and or pitfalls of this
equipment?

Last year we built a Fast 500 SAN with 2.5TB of data supporting 2 NW6
clusters (One 6 nodes and the other 7 nodes) without any problems from
the SAN.
The only problem was with the fiber switches and 13 nodes with full
redundant path was too much for the logic, using VLANs within the
fiber switches solved the problem.

Check IBM's web site for information about compatibility and if that
fails, call 1.800.ibm.serv and ask.
