This should be an easy one. With you audio video cables from your camcorder plug the audio into audio in and your video into the video one jack next to that ,then press video one on your tv. bingo. thats it.Your done.

I have a emerson tv/dvd combo flat panel tv. the picture is centered in the middle ad wont extend to the entire screen, I have no remote but the tv has a setup button I pushed but it offers no ASPECT

Not knowing size of screen or model number or age it may be 4x3 format only which is letterbox style when in doubt consult and read the owner manual for the set.

Poor picture quality from 130 degree viewing angle on my LCD tv

It is unfortunate but "off angle" viewing will compromise the picture especially on larger TV's and LCD. Off angle viewing can come from the vertical axis or the horizontal, as you described. This is clearly illustrated with a laptop computer. Adjust the screen forward and back (vertical plane) and you will see very clearly that you get the brightest picture in a very small amount of range of the screen. Likewise, viewing from the side compromises picture as well.

I also don't believe that the delay is indicative of any problems.
