Most units can only "talk" with one unit at a time, because they are using a set freq. for both sides of the conversation. (think walkie-talkies of children) you can't talk and hear at the same time!

Why does my straight talk phone when I speak into it it echos back into the earpiece and the person I amtry totalk to cannot hear me it is a Samsung R175C

It sounds like feedback to me. That happens on my phone once in a while too. Usually I hang up and call the number back and the works for me. If it happens all the time to you I think you should switch out your phone. Good luck!

Mobile Phone Tips & Tricks: Manners and etiquettes of using mobile phones

The mobilephone industry wants all people to enjoy the benefits of mobile telecommunications but at the same time it expects them to use their mobiles in a responsible way.
1. When in doubt, always go out of the room/hall. When possible go outside or to another room to make your call if your call might disturb others. You can also use features such as text messaging answering services, call diversion and vibration alert, etc to receive important calls without disturbing others.

2. If you can't turn it off, keep it on silent mode If you need to keep your phone on for important calls, then turn it to silent or vibration mode. It's the ringtone of a mobile phone in inappropriate places which annoys and irritates people the most.

3. When required turn your phone off and also check if it's off. There are some places where people should never talk on a mobile phone or send text messages and where the ringing of a cell phone is considered highly unacceptable. In these cases, turn your phone off and remember to check it's off before you enter the venue.

4. Keep your conversations private People's sense of personal space varies in each situation. Making a call in a busy place may be okay, but talking loudly in a confined space like a lift or on a train tends to disturb people.

5. Speak softly Always speak softly so as not to disturb others. People can hear you even if you speak in soft voice.

Our line one cuts out even when we're talking on it & we can just barely hear the person on the line but they can hear us clearly. We have unplugged the phone's power cord & plugged it back in...

I have the same sort of problem...kinda..lol. My Vtech sorta 'cuts out' when there is noise at my hosue. The person I'm talking to can still hear me but I can't hear them. If my son starts crying or there's any other loudish type noises on my end, it's like the phone is trying to cutout my background noise, but all it's cutting out is the person talking to me. It's not that the noises in my house are loud and I jsut can't hear the person I"m talking to, b/c if i cover the mouth peice then no matter how loud the sound in my house is i can still hear the person i'm talking to but I HAVE to keep the mouth peice covered. It's really annoying!

When I call someone I can't hear myself or the other person on my LG 570 cell phone, but the other person can hear me talk. Is there an easy fix?

The problem with your phone is that the earpiece on your phone is bad that is why you cannot hear the party calling you or hear anything while you call.

All you need to do is to replace the earpiece on your phone and you will see that you can hear whoever you are talking to on your phone.

Change the earpiece on your phone and you will see that the problem is solved. meanwhile, you can keep using the headset pending the time you will replace the earpiece.

Take care.

It sounds like your microphone either is clogged or has gone bad. Take it to your carrier and get them to check it out for you.

NBX 3102 Headset jack stops working

You should be using a plantronics a-10 interface cable if you are using hardwire headsets. get rid of the m-20 amplifiers. I support 280 of these phones and the best solution is to replace the phone. Power cycling the phone will help for a while but the problem will come back.

Other person cannot hear me talk if they are talking

This is a common problem with speaker phones as well since they (as is your headset) forced to switch back and forth so microphone and 'speaker' are not on at the same time to prevent feedback. The squeal from feedback would be far more irritating. Your previous phone in conjunction with your headset were simply (and accidentally) a better combination.
