How do i right mouse click on lenova e431?

The TrackPad on the e431 is different from the traditional trackpads we are used to from Lenovo. Lenovo has eliminated the two click buttons, but have instead integrated them into the trackpad itself. There are two red lines along the top left and right of the trackpad, and pressing the one on the left is equivalent to pressing the left mouse button, and pressing on the red line on the right side is the right-mouse button.

The scroll bar in my laptops' touch pad isn't working.

The scroll on your laptop is controlled by the trackpad installed on the system.

If you are having problems with the scroll on your laptop's trackpad, there is something you can do before you take it into a computer repair shop.

Updating the driver to the trackpad will enable the scroll if it is not working at all.

Once the driver is updated, your scroll should work again.

You can access the driver through the Device Manager on your laptop.

Click the "Start" button, then click the "Search" option.

Type "Device Manager" into the search bar and press the "Enter" button.

Click on the "Device Manager" icon from the menu, then scroll down to the "Track Pad" icon on the left side of the screen.

Click on the icon, then click the "Driver" tab at the top of the window. Click the "Update" driver option from the window.

Wait for the new driver to install on your computer.

This should take about two minutes to complete.

A window will appear telling you that the driver has been installed.

Put your fingers on the touchpad to move the mouse around on the screen.

Hope this helps.

Scroll on mouse pad was working is not any more

Well it any of the following: cable inside the laptop has come loose from the trackpad, you (or someone else accidentally disabled the trackpad) or that the trackpad has gone bad. Try to hook up an external mouse (for the time being) to allow you to either change the mouse settings, or use your computer until you can get the trackpad replaced/repaired.

Touch pad dose not scroll up & down. need to use two hands to scroll

please check to see if the track pad is turned on, to check this, in Windows XP, goto Start > Control Panel > Mouse.

one of the tabs contains all the on/off switches for the trackpad, and left and right buttons. if this laptop also has a thumbstick, this can also be toggled on and off through here.

Keyboard locks randomly after login

Sound like you might have a virus - try running antivirus program - such as Avast or Antivir - which is free.
If that doesn't work, then try doing a System Restore - if that doesn't work, then do a System Recovery complete re-install - but back up your pictures and documents first as you will lose everything and you'll be starting over again fresh.

Mouse irradic Clicking

Check to make sure that the right hand mouse key is not stuck down. When you press it down, does it feel the same as the Left Hand key? Could be caused by a piece of foreign material underneath/beside the key, or by something sticky getting down around the key. Try to clean the area under and around the key and make sure the key is not binding in the cover. It could be that there is a failure of the key, itself. You might want to try connecting another mouse (most computers have a connection for this), disconnecting the trackpad/mouse that is on the notebook. This should tell you if it is a problem with the trackpad/mouse, or something deeper.
Hope this solves your problem.
