Question about HP PSC 1315 All-In-One InkJet Printer

1 Answer

Need to find driver product key, registration key

I downloaded drivers because I lost the software disk for my hp psc 1310, model 1315 all-in-one printer. Now I have the driver detective but can't go any further with it because it is asking for a registration key. Where can I find one?

You're doing something wrong. Downloadable drivers are free to everyone with no "key" required

Go to the manufacturers website and under support search for your model number. You will find a link so you may download the latest printer driver and any additional software that was originally included. If it is an older printer and your laptop has Vista, there are probably no divers for it.

PSC 1310 off, unplugged from power, and USB cable from 1310 unplugged from computer.

This is HP.com/Support, and the page for Product Support, for the HP
PSC1310 Series All-In-One machines,
http://h20180.www2.hp.com/apps/Lookup?h_lang=en&h_cc=us&cc=us&h_page=hpcom&lang=en&h_client=S-A-R163-1&h_query=HP+PSC+1310&submit.x=8&submit.y=7

Granted, all the Drivers and Software may be the same for all of the 1310 Series, but it MAY not be.
I would like you to click on the appropriate Model Number for your All-In-One.

This page explains where to look on your All-In-One for your Model Number,
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&docname=bpu04090&product=12019&dest_page=product

After you click on the appropriate model number, you'll be taken to a page where you'll see the heading -> Software & Driver Downloads <-
Click on this.
Now choose which Operating System you're using. (Windows XP and Windows Vista are examples of an O/S)

Under the -> Compatible software and drivers, heading, and the Driver, sub-heading, click on -> HP Officejet and PSC Full Feature Software and Driver.

Click on the empty circle to the left of -> Save.
After this has downloaded, close all windows, and go back to your desktop screen.
You will see a yellow folder icon on your screen, with the HP logo. Double-click on it. Follow the instructions of the 'Wizard'. Restart your computer. After Windows has fully loaded again, you should see "Found New Software".

Plug the USB cable of your PSC 1310 into your computer. Plug the 1310 into power. Press the Power On button of the 1310.

Lost software disk to install hp psc 1310 printer model hp 1315

Hi saljcartagen, yes you can download the HP PCS 1310 printer drivers for free. There are two way to get these drivers. Left click on the HP link below:
http://welcome.hp.com/country/us/en/welcome.html#Support

Connect the printer to your PC/notebook & make sure the printer is turned on. From the link above. Step 1, click once in the empty circle to the left of " Download drivers and software (and firmware) ". In step 2, type in " HP PCS 1310 all-in-one ", than click the, Start Detection button. HP will scan your system & find your printer. Allow HP to run the scan. HP will than start downloading & installing the proper software for your printer.
Another way to download the software for the HP 1310 all-in one printer would be to left click on this next HP link:
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?product=374578&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&lang=en&cc=us&submit=Go%20â»
Click on your operating system from the list provided by HP.
You can choose to Run the software or you can save the software so you can make a driver CD later. Create a folder on your desktop & name it HP PCS 1310. Download the driver software into that folder. The driver software is a *.exe file. You can right click on the *.exe file & from the pop-up list choose to uncompress here. All the driver files will uncompress within the HP PCS 1310 folder.
Or you can just run the *.exe file. Either way the HP PCS 1310 driver software will install its self.

Thats it, good luck saljcartagen!
