Question about Dishwashers

Quiet partner 1 will not drain or run

I have a Whrlpl Quiet Partner 1, it will not drain or run. However, when it is closed, and I turn the knob. I can hear it click as I turn the knob. I found to little black plastic items in the bottom of the dishwasher. They kind of look like the iron things boot makers use to put boots or shoes on when doing repairs.

It sounds like it ain't getting any power since all your hearing is the clicking from the timer. If it does have power I would take the front panel off and see if everything looks ok and make sure there ain't any loose wires. But start with checking the wires coming in for power. Hope this helps.

Whirlpool quiet partner II stops running or won't complete it's was cycle, sometimes is will wash for a few minutes and stop or it will stop before the water even starts to flow.

I had the same problem with my dishwasher. After hearing that the motherboard was the problem I decided to take a closer look. There were two capacitors (1000 microfarads, 6.3 volts) that looked a little suspect. The tops of capacitors should be flat...these looked like soda cans that had been left in the freezer. Got on eBay, located the capacitors for roughly $3 and $4 shipping, for approx total of $10. Soldered the two new capacitors into the motherboard and put it back together. As soon as I closed the door, the dishwasher started draining the water. When I ran a Normal cycle it completed successfully. Saved myself over $120!
