Question about HP Pavilion dv5-1138nr Notebook

Speaker tapping sound coming from HP Pavilion dv5-1138nr notebook

Hi
I have a HP dv5-1138nr Entertainmenrt notebook PC. I get this tapping morse code sound coming out of the right speaker. I click on the speaker icon on the screen and the blue indicatgor peg is jumping up and down the slide. The Pc has been returned to HP and they said they found nothing wrong but once I went to youtube and played one classic 80's song.
The tapping started again...any ideas or fixes out there ??

I would check the headphone socket is not damaged. If there is a faulty contact, the headphones will still work but the speakers won't.

I have HP-Pavilion- DV2000 Laptop I have a sound problem because sound not coming out from built-in speakers, headphones or external USB speakers. Drivers in device manager seems to be OK Sound play cursor...


sounds like it can be the hardware. try to uninstall and reinstall the latest audio driver then configure your speaker settings and volume settings. if this does not work, you may need to get the audio card or motherboard replaced.

you have a problem with the sound driver. if you have the cd/dvd of the laptop reinstall the driver for the sound.

When i start my computer it makes a loud beeping noise it is a acer aspire4520


What you are hearing is probably a BIOS beep code.

Beep codes are a bit like Morse code, and are used to indicate certain faults with the hardware.

The codes change from manufacturer to manufacturer, but generally speaking one beep = System OK, so if your PC is starting up normally and you have no other problems there is nothing to worry about!

Medion PC model MD 1777 wabout 4 yrs old will not start/boot up. Blue light just flickers continusly and makes a tapping sound.


Remove any disk inserted n your computer (floppy or cd) and try again.
Check the cables connection and monitor connection.
If no boot, try boot your PC using the CD restore provided with your machine

Most likely you have to double tap. Depending on the laptop make, sometimes double tapping isn't intergrated.

No speaker sound (HP Pavilion dv6000)


there a loss connection in the speaker of your system. locate the loss connection and fix it. if hard for you fix then you should call the technician to fixed for you ..or either use external speaker so that you can hear sounds without using headset.
