Hi
I am considering buying a QPS Que! Firewire CD-rewriter for the Mac.
Does anyone have an opinion on this CD-writer?
Is it a good buy?
I know that Toast supports USB, but does it also support Firewire?
Also, what is the advantage of Firewire over USB?
Thanks
Jon

I'm still waiting for stores to sell it. I have yet to read a review of
its performance.
From what I understand, the retail price will be the same as the USB
version (although stores will, no doubt, discount the USB version).
I don't know. If not now, no doubt they'll make a version to support it.
Firewire promises a much, much higher transfer rate over USB (and even
SCSI). This will be a great advantage for CD writers. The problem is
that firewire is still new and there's bound to be bugs to be worked
out.
I'm looking at the Firewire Que! drive too, but I think I'll wait until
there are satisfied people using it.
