Question about Sony Handycam CCD-TRV57 Camcorder
I had the same problem and have been researching this for days. Here's how I fixed it - at least temporarily... I opened the tape cover and looked at the metal tape compartment, where it reads "Do not push." Looking at it, the left side appeared to be pushed down - less space between that side of the compartment and the inside of the camera, as compared to the right side. I gently pushed up on the left side, ever so slightly giving more uniform space under it, as compared to the right side of the compartment. It worked! I'm not sure how long it will last, but I can probably keep doing this until I get all of my tapes uploaded into my computer for editing.
Hope this helps.
