Question about Bowflex Treadmill Series 7

Open Question

Sears FreeSpirit Tread mill Starts and Stops, changes speed.

No heating of the motor,I can start repeatedly, but it won't run continuously,or at the set speed.
The display board does shows only the speed(settings) selected even when the m/c increases or decreases speed or stops.
The m/c is about 5 years old but rarely used.

SOURCE: My Freespirit also stops after a few minutes

Normally all these problems are in relation with motor itself, I mean, internal bearings, short circuit. So if your treadmill stops is bacause the circuit board detetecs an over current fron motor.

I hope help you

Tread mill display start and work stop and E03

You have to check whether the Motor runs before its shows the Error E#. If so you have to check the speed sensor. Can be it displaced or faulty. You will find the speed sensor near the motor pulley.

EPIC 400 tread mill starts but slows down &blows breaker moter run fine with no load belt backed off re set speed sensor changed power cord pluged .in to circit board ran fine for 2 hrs then stoped

motor brushes are bad. when they wear out, the motor loses torque and draws more amps. they can be replaced fairly easily once you get the motors out.

My matrix MX-T5x start running and stop in seconds. With the error code E7. What is the problem ?

By E7 it means Speed sensor feedback missing. You have to check the speed sensor mounted near the motor pully. Remove the speed sensor and clean it well Then refix it then check the tread mill by powering ON. If then also the problem remains the same , You have to replace the speed sensor.

from ur description i think ur treadmills control module have problem. motor driving card and motor is ok. normally there are no serviceable part inside the controlling module ( user interface module). only thing can do is remove the controlling module, take out its board check all the micro switches( press button switches) replace it found faulty or not( remember to remove the power before). the refix it and the test the tread mill.

When the tread mill is running at a set speed, it for no appearant reason speeds up super fast with no one touching any button?

The motor controller controls the speed of the motor. This part usually work or dont work but I have seen a few instances where it was just going bad.
