When this first started happening I knew there was something wrong with it so I left it alone for more then a year not having money to fix it.I recently tried it again with no problem and sewed a whole outfit. After that project was done I put it away for a couple of days until I needed to mend some clothes and yet again its not coming on.

I dropped my feed dogs and when I pushed the button to bring them back up, it wouldn't work. I did discover that when you put the button back to the up position and start sewing, the dogs come back up automatically.

Hopefully this is only a mechanical problem that can be fixed with oil. If not it is either a stepper motor or circuit board. If you are not comfortable with removing covers and oiling then it needs to go to the shop.

When putting your shirring elastic on the bobbin, don't thread the elastic through the bobbin holder,adjust the stitch length longer,and loosen the tension, other wise if you want to put it through the bobbin holder you have to loosen the tension screw on the bobbin holder, and then you have to adjust it back for ordinary sewing,
