Problem for Dell Latitude C610 PC Notebook
Screen went black

I was working in a dos program and the screen went black. Now the machine flashes 3 lights at the top of the keyboard and 2 lights to the right of the keyboard and then goes back black when I try to power it up. It does not sound like the harddrive ever engages or operates at all. The lights are green if that matters. The location of the harddrive would be a helpfull.

Take the battery out and unplug the machine from the power.
After a few minutes reinstall the battery and plug it back in.

Try reseating the memory one stick at a time in each slot at a time first before you do anything else and see if you get video back.
