"HO" flashes on display during washing.

When the dishwasher is in the wash cycle "HO" flashes on the display.  When it is is the rinse cycle the display goes back to the time left in the entire cycle.  I looked in my manual and can't find anything related to this. Is this normal or could there be a problem with the water flow?

The HO actually means the system is in a water heat delay. It means the water wasn't hot enough and the dishwasher is heating it up. Mine does it during the Hi-Temp wash.

When you have the HO indication it usually means that the water temperature coming into the dishwasher is not hot enough. A good practice to prevent this is to turn the water on at the kitchen sink until the water is hot. Then start your dishwasher.

'low rinse' stuck on with full rinse aid, can't start wash cycle

Actually, if you look closely at that Low Rinse button or emblem, you will see a little lock symbol ABOVE the words "Low Rinse", and I'll bet THAT light is the one that is on. Basically, you have the control lock (or child-lock) turned on. To turn it off, you have to press and hold the SANITIZE button for 3 to 5 seconds until that light goes off. Now your dishwasher will work!

Hobart LXIH stuck in Wash mode after running multiple loads. Shutting off breaker for several hours fixes problem until multiple loads have been run again and then it is once more stuck in Wash mode.

How long does it stay in the wash cycle? Indefinitely? Does the display continuously show "WASH"?. If it stays in the wash cycle indefinitely (i.e. continuously shows "WASH" for significantly beyond approx. 3 minutes), it's probably a control board malfunction. If it continues to wash after the "WASH" indicator goes out, it could be a shorted wash motor relay on the relay board or a fauly control board.

If the internal rinse water booster heater doesn't reach it's programmed setpoint temperature in time, the dishwasher will run an extended wash cycle to give the booster heater more time to finish heating the rinse water. If this is what's happening, the wash cycle would last approximately 3 minutes, then it would rinse regardless of whether the booster heater has finished heating or not.

The booster temperature thermistor may be bad, giving a false booster temperature reading, causing an extended wash cycle as described above. The booster heater elements or contactor may be bad, preventing the booster heater from heating and reaching proper temperature, also causing the same extended wash cycle to give the booster more time to heat.

The display is flashing HO, what does this mean?

I was wondering the same thing. This is what I found:

The display shows "HO" or "Hd." What does this mean?
HO" or "Hd" means the dishwasher's cycle time is being extended while it is heating water. At certain points in the wash cycle, the dishwasher uses hotter water to ensure a clean load of dishes. If it detects that the water is not hot enough, it will heat it.

If you're seeing "HO" or "Hd" frequently, check the temperature of the water available to your dishwasher. It's best to do this at the sink closest to it, allowing the hot water to run until it reaches its maximum temperature before you test it with a thermometer. For best results, water should be not less than 120°F.

Dishwasher doesnt drain on wash cycle,ok on rinse cycle

Change the circuit board, timer/progrsmer.
Take it out and clean contacts,
Look for burnt circuit line and solder a fine bead carefully on the circuit board, difficult. Use the pot and pan program.

Try this solution first
Push the Hi-temp and then push the Sani-rinse. Go back and forth multiple times on these two buttons. I found that after a handfull of pushes that a "1" came up on the display. I continued to keep rotating the two buttons and then a "2" came up on the display and the dishwater started it's "drain" phase. I then hit cancel to clear and then I selected the cycle I wanted. The washer started up just as normal at this point.

Processor board sound bad. May be a loose plug ( or corroded connection on the plug ) . Unplug the dish washer from the wall plug before servicing. The open the front panel to expose the panel control board. Unplug the panel plugs and inspect them to assure no corrotion is apparent. If you see corrotion, use a pencil erracer to clean all contact points on the board and clean the plug the best possible. Plug the dishwasher plug back in the wall and check the unit for proper operation. If the operation is not correct, replace the circuit board. I hope this helps

I had the same problem but I found someone wh said that there is a way to reset the dishwasher. I tried it and it has worked so far.

Here is what I did.

I continued to keep rotating the two buttons and then a "2" came up on the display and the dishwater started it's "drain" phase. I then hit cancel to clear and then I selected the cycle I wanted. The "Rinse Only Button" will not function even after going through the "Cancel" cycle.

br, sounds like you have a stuck keypad. This would be the only reason it is switching to a different cycle. Catriver..post back.
