Is this a all in one scanner/printer/fax/copier? What is the model??? 1. Use the software disk that came with the device as opposed to trying to add it via plug and play and letting the PC recognize it. The drivers are on the CD.
The Printer is a Old Printer thats y the software which you have may not work...... In this case go ahead and download the software from the following Link: http://downloads.lexmark.com/perl/downloads/downloads.cgi Download the drivers from here and install the Printer..... Thanku
click on that go to your model printer and then go to driver download I have check the vista version and it should be a .exe file that will download and then all you have to do is install the file by click on the downloaded file.

You can check the lexmark website, they offer downloads and contact information. You might have to order a new software disk from them for your specific product. Hope this helps and let us know if you need further assistance.
Go to www.lexmark.com and click on Drivers & Downloads then Driver Finder. I did not see the X6100, but I saw the X6150 and X6170, hopefully that's what you have. You need to download the correct driver depending on what operating system you have. In other words, do you have Windows XP or Vista?
