Same thing happened to me. It was working fine yesterday, until I arrived at my destination, then it froze and when I restart it, it stops at the spinning clock. I'm so mad at myself for not researching the update and finding out that this is happening a lot!!
I don't think I have my receipt. It will be interesting to see if Magellan charges me for THEIR mistake!
Is there any mute/unmute or volume control on the GPS? If so, is the mute/unmute function unmuted, and is the volume all the way up? If you have already checked this stuff, then would say that the device is bad (in which case you can probably send it back to Magellan for a replacement) or the speaker was somehow disconnected( in which case you can't fix it). Has the audio ever worked?
The most obvious question is, have you accidentally turned down the volume to a level where it can't be heard. There is a volume wheel on the unit. Also, there is a way that the sound can disappear if the unit gets "locked up". But that shouldn't be a persistent problem. Removing the power cord and reinserting it should clear that problem.
this is not exactly what youare looking for but it will worth to know i guess. My 700 has auido problem. when i turn it on, i donto get any sound output. If you do the followign, configuration/diagnostic/audiotest, i recover the sound, till i touch sound volume bottom. It works fine considering nto everyday i need sound. I suggest you to
