Check the connections between computer and monitor if you have another monitor try it and see if it works. I know if my monitor is on but not connected to my computer I get a smiler message. Larry

My pc was taken apart so I could move. When I hooked it back up the monitor comes on for a couple seconds and says that my pc is in analog power saving mode. The power light on the tower just blinks c

It might be in a corrupted hybernation mode.
Try turning the computer off by pushing the power button for 10 seconds and then do not choose resume but the other option.

Check all your video cables and check your keyboard and mouse cables. If everything is ok, reboot computer.

Newer monitor won't work with packard Bell R450

Wow, it's about time to dump the Packard Bell. Maybe the Video Card has gone bad in the Packard Bell and if you fix it your old monitor might work.

If you do not have a display then restart to safe mode, right click on the desktop, choose Properties, Settings then Power Saving. The options for Power Saving mode are displayed. Steve Medley

Computer monitor comes on for 1 seconds, flashes "analog power save mode" and then goes black.

Most monitors will say "Power save mode" when they can tell through residual voltage that the signal lead is plugged into a machine, but there's no picture being transmitted. The four states of a monitor are:

* Off entirely.
* Switched on, plugged into a computer but no video signal being received - usually displays "analog power save mode" or "digital power save mode" for a few seconds, then blanks. Comes back to life the moment a video signal is received. This state is the default in full power saving mode.
* Switched on, not plugged into a computer. Some monitors don't display anything, some go into power saving mode, some fly "CHECK SIGNAL CABLE" or a similar message around the screen. Picture is restored when the signal cable is plugged back into the computer
* On fully, receiving an image, and displaying.

Hope this helps.
