Sometimes if you are using a USB keyboard it doesnt pick up the driver. Try usinf one with a PS2 connection (green) and restart computer via the mouse. When it reboots it should recognise the keyboard.
Hope this helps, if not I'll be happy to help further,
there is 2 types of connection a ps2 and usb connection ps2 connections are at the top of where you connect the items on back of pc make sure you have the pis lined up right when inserting the ps2 connection there usually colour coded the purple one is usually the keyboard and the green is usually the mouse or if its usb connection it slots in on one of the small rectangular slots on back of pc
it is quite difficult to install anything without mouse and keyboard. try to use PS2 mouse or keyboard, it would have to work just fine, after that connect your USB devices, and it just might load the drivers need by it self
First look usb or pst driver is stall or not. if install your port may be damage or shourt. then check usinge y- cable. where one side usb port and another side we get ps2and usb. then we use mouse and key board once atime.. . ithink u solvev your problem. if not .there is another way . you can add usb card in *********** bord . Which help you to operate usb key board and mouse once time. thanks
There might be a problem with the keyboards PS2 port. You can bypass the PS2 port all together by buying a PS2 Y-adapter to usb port. This Y adapter will allow you to plug your PS2 mouse & keyboard into it and than you plug the other end into a free usb port. You do not have to plug the PS2 mouse in if you do not want to. Just plug in the keyboard. If your keyboard functions than there is a prolem with the keyboard's PS2 port. The PS2 Y-adapter to USB runs about $12.00 to $15.00. You can find one at Wallmart.
