After hooking up an xbox to the tv it requires a security code

is it only with the xbox? how did you hook it up/

U using a stantard tube tv,that why.It is an analog tv.It can't scan in high resolutions as ur Xbox require.That,why it reverse back to the resolution it can and able to scan the lower resolutions.

* The TV turns off
* Press and release the Power button
* The TV turns on
* Wait 10 seconds
* A message appears saying the TV has been reset

1) Reset the router then the xbox.
2) If it still does not work, Change the security code for your wireless on your router. Then connect using that security code on your xbox.

If you are trying to connect to xbox live you should plug in your ethernet cable to the back and than turn on the xbox 360 and select xbox live..

If you are trying to "hook" recieve visuals plug all the cords the xbox came with into the right places and plug the opposite ends correctly into the tv than make sure your cables are on the settings tv not hdtv than find the input your tv must be on to ie: input1 or source

this could be your power brick being faulty and letting to much power through to the xbox and earthing it through the TV resulting in the TV frying.
try changing your AV cables from the xbox to TV and your power brick and leads going to the console

Plug the wireless USB adapter into the USB port on the back of the Xbox 360 console.

Turn on your Xbox 360 console.

The console will recognize the wireless adapter and will walk you thru the wireless network setup. Be sure to have your WEP key (if encryption is used) for your router before you start this process.

This adapter works well - I am using one and regularly play Modern Warfare 2 with multiple chat sessions. There is no noticable difference between my wired network connection and this wireless network connection.

If it was hooked to a flat screen it was most likely on high def. There is a switch on the connection to the tv to make it work on a regular defination tv. Just slide the switch over to regular and it should work. Hope this helps.

it sounds as if you have a connection unhooked or loose somewhere. Double check all audio and video cables are secure and in the correct position. If that doesn't work try troubleshooting by trying a different tv or removing all connections from tv and xbox and re-hooking everything back up.
