E9 message on a Panasonic KX TG5453 Home cordless phone

I have an E9 message on the base unit of my Panasonic KX TG5453 phone. It says move closer to base on all three phones. That doesn't help. Have unplugged power and plugged back in, no help.

SOURCE: Panasonic KX-TG2740 Cordless Phone - Can I reset handset registration

press function button on handset, scroll to initial setting, select by pressing right arrow, scroll to registration, select, select hs registration, follow directions on handset display, pressing mute on "new" base station, and ok on handset(plugged in). If you like, you can unregister with the "old" base unit first.

You can get yours repaired at www.cordlessrepair.com , and if you send the handsets they will reregister them to your fixed base at no extra charge.

SOURCE: Panasonic KX TG1100 base unit does not ring

I do not think there is any chance to make the base ring for this particular phone. Anyhow, if you discover how to do it throw me a note.

SOURCE: Panasonic KX-TG2367 says "No link to base".

This worked for my mother's KX-TG2357:

We tried doing what it said in the manual on page 54. That didn't work! She then decided to just unplug everything. About 3-5 minutes later, plugged everything back in, and lo and behold, everything was working fine!!

My panasonic kx-tg4321bx didn't give connectivity response rather than it gives a message "No link to base. Move closer to base, try again"

Well, you could move closer to the base, or try this: RE REGISTER the HANDSET. That works every time when our cordless goes stupid.

Panasonic Kx-TG2432 Displays E9

Same here on KX-TG2248:

"Answer on" is flashing rapidly.
"Message/Slow Talk" is flashing rapidly.
"In Use/Charge" is flashing irregularly.
LED displays "E3" (and "set clock" symbol is flashing).

Removing and restoring power, many times,
produced one "spontaneous remission"
(it worked fine for several hours)
but next time moved (having to disconnect power),
it's now quite "committed" to remaining "insane" as above.

No link to base

It sounds like you may be getting interferance from somewhere. Try moving the base unit to another location. Avoid putting by other electronics. T.V.s, microwaves, and such can mess with the signals. Hope this helps Good Luck!

No link to base move closer to base

Your getting this message because the radio portion of the handset or/and base is not communicating with each other. This can be temporary or fatal. You can try re-registering the handset(s) to the base by following the directions in the manual, its fairly easy to do for any model. If that does not work, and you have more than one handset not working with this problem, then it sounds as if your base needs repair or replacing.

Move closer to base

Either the phone is not registered to the base unit or the RF module is broken. It could be a bad battery but unlikely unless very old or you have not charged it. You should check the manual for registering the phone to the base unit.
