I appreciate the suggestion. Yesterday we did an online search for how to set up voicemail for phones with US Cellular service and were able to set up our voicemail on our two Motorola W385 phones.

Press the "1" key and hold for a few seconds, this will bring up your voicemail.
Next, key the pre-set passcode of 9999, this will allow you to set-up your own message and passcode. The phone tells you how.

Your voicemail password is a 4 digit number that you enter when you want to listen to your voicemail messages from any other phone other than your mobile phone - this is called remote access. This voicemail password gives you the protection to know that only you can listen to your voicemails.
It is vital that your password is set to a random 4 digit password. To change your password, all you need to do is:
  1. Dial 173 from your mobile
  2. You will then be asked to pick a 4 digit number, and then press the # button
  3. If you are happy press press 2
Your password is all set up and you will be prompted to enter it whenever you want to listen to your voicemails through remote access. You will only need to use this password when accessing your voicemails from another phone. You will not need to use this password when accessing your voicemail from your own mobile phone - you simply dial 171 as normal
You can reset your voicemail pass code by dialing 611 or 1 800 331 0500
From the main menu, press3 (To get help with voicemail)
Press 2 to reset your voicemail pass word
Enter Billing Zip code
Customer will receive a text message to their wireless phone with their new voicemail password.
OR
You can log into your "My Account" from the www.cingular.com
From the My Phone page, click Reset Voice Mail Password.
Choose a wireless number from the dropdown menu and select Submit.
A text message is sent to the wireless phone with the new password.

I need help in changing my voice mail message on a Motorola VGA 4XZOOM phone.....please help

Hey Tony,
Changing the voicemail message is as easy as calling your voicemail, selecting SETTINGS from the main menu and re-recording the message.
The type of phone (equipment) does not matter .
If you have problems and are unable to do it this way , then dial 611 from your phone and talk to a service tech regarding voicemail (option 5 I think...?).

How do I set up and access my voicemail

Hi, the instructions may vary depending on your service provider, but typically you would dial your mobile phone number from your Razr (or *86 if you have Verizon) and at the prompt enter your temporary password, which they should have told you when you bought the phone but if they didn't, it's probably the last four digits of your mobile phone number.
Once you enter the password, you'll be prompted to change it. After that, the system should walk you through setting up your outgoing message and any other options you want to configure.

Problems setting up Net10 Voicemail

If you are getting the "voicemail does not exist message" this means that the voicemail feature is not on your account. Unfortunately you will have to contact your service provider and ask them to add the voicemail feature back onto you account. Have them test and make sure that you can access the voicemail before they end the call to ensure they have fixed the problem. Hope this helped.

My brand new w385 is displaying the message "unable to charge". I am using the charger supplied to me by motorola. wtf?

Check the contacts between phone and battery, if necessary align or clean. Are you using original Motorola charger? This solved my problem; I was trying to charge it with one of those "universal" chargers.

Hope this helps!

Usually the voicemail number is set automatically by the service provider so that the general user wont have to. Sorry but I do not think you'll be able to, but I will keep my eyes open for a unlock code for it. Hope this helps!
