Question about Canon PIXMA MP980 All-In-One InkJet Printer
I was printing successfully over the network until I added a windows xp computer to the print network. I have a verizon router that is directing traffic.
Now when I try to print from my mac I get the message that the printer is offline and some indication that the print server is not connected or at least not communicating with the mac.
Sounds like when you added xp you inadvertently installed new print driver on server.
Try rolling back driver. But may drop xp from printing.
Best solution network printer to router bypass server. Will require hard wire from printer to router. disconnect from server may need network card for printer.
