Question about Vacuums
Please advise brand. Some vacuums have switches that become defective. I suggest using a VOM (Volt/Ohm/Meter) and follow the current into the vacuum. If it come to the switch, but not out of the switch - replace switch. Make sure cord is not frayed with a broken wire inside. Again the volt meter will ferret that out. If the motor has motor brushes one could be sticking or worn - replace.
