The Ferret FI-86 was a speciality light was originally to be made for a European auto company. Needless to say Ferret was quite surprised when the European auto company said they only want 20 lights.
They were shown to an American Tool Company that added them to thier "Ferret Line" of test equipment. After that the unit gained popularity with Marine and Motorcycle Techs.
Here is what is the first thing I would check - The pigtail coming out the handle probably broken and the number 2 pin which is the signal from the pickup is not getting through which will give you the ZEROS across the board.
The cable is a 5 pin DIN connector, should be able to find these most electronis stores....also refered to as a MIDI cable.
The next thing you might want to check is the carbon parts of the pick up the "U" shape cabon and the "I" shaped carcon make sure these are not missing or broken.
Also make sure you have the switches in the proper positions.

Creedence clearwater revival rock band history

Creedence Clearwater Revival-occasionally shortened to Creedence or CCR-was an American rock band popular in the late 1960s and early 1970s.
The band consisted of lead vocalist, lead guitarist, and primary songwriter John Fogerty, rhythm guitarist Tom Fogerty (John's brother), bassist Stu Cook, and drummer Doug Clifford. Their musical style encompassed the roots rock and swamp rock genres. Despite their San Francisco Bay Area origins, they portrayed a Southern rock style, singing about bayous, catfish, the Mississippi River, and other popular elements of Southern iconography.
Creedence Clearwater Revival's music is still a staple of American and worldwide radio airplay;[1] the band has sold 26 million albums in the United States alone.[2] Creedence Clearwater Revival was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1993.[3] Rolling Stone ranked the band 82nd on its list of the 100 greatest artists of all time.[4] Their musical influence can be heard in many genres including southern rock, grunge, roots rock, and blues

My timing light dousenot work

Most like you need to check the 'U' shaped core in the pickup if it is broke no flash.
If this is not the problem then you need to open the unit get a coated wire stripped ends 0.5 inches. there is a large yellow capacitor. Short this out first! Mostly this cap has a problem with loosening the solder joint(s) so check this first. The next area would be the flashtube area. Check the diodes and there is a trigger transformer. The phone number is 800-627-5655 Chris and Evy run the repair dept.

My ferret 84 timing light is about 7 years old. it has been working flawlessly until recently. when connected it always sees rpm but the strobe is very intermittent. i purchased a new pickup with no...

Check the Big Yellow Capacitor on the Ckt Bd. the lead closest to the strobe lamp should measure approx 300 to 350 VDC these have a failure rate after about 7 years. Also make sure the solder is making a good connection. The Seriel Num is on the top of the light should be something like 84-9934-0001 which broken down it is 84 the model. next group 9934 is the year, (last two digits of) and week the last four digits production number.
Also could be Lamp or the small red in color trigger transformer, diodes in the lamp area.
The pig tail will have issues at the "Heyco" connector. also what is the Ckt Bd is the construction Conventional "through hole" or SMT "Surface Mount"? I'm thinking it is the Cap.

How to use a timing light

Connect the negative (black) to the grounded side of the battery, and the positive (red) to the plus side, then clip the detector to the number 1 spark plug wire coming from the coil, and aim the light at the pulley, where, when you squeeze the trigger, you will see a strobe light flash and should see an indicator notch or mark on the crankcase behind the pulley, showing where top dead center is, or possibly several marks indicating a certain number of degrees of advance timing. By changing the orientation of the distributor you can adjust the amount of advance timing to set it to the correct position for your model vehicle. Check the book on that. Granted, of course, that your ignition gaps or points are correctly set beforehand, you have good plugs and cables, valves are correctly adjusted, etc. etc...

I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread.

Craftsman weedeater wont start

The problem that I had with my craftsman was that I found that there was a tube in the fuel tank that goes to the carb, & at the other end - inside the tank, there was a small screen with maybe a weight on it (to keep it in the gas no matter what position the weedeater is in). Mine was plugged up and i went to the saw shop and got a generic hose & end with the screen deal & changed them out. Solved my problem. Rick

The motor seems to be loosing power when ripping stock!

How are you plugging the saw in? It sounds like the saw is not getting enough voltage. Be sure to have it on a 20A circuit without any extension cords...
