It seems that when you engage the recording mode, the RC 3 draws too much power and resets itself. Does it work on battery power? If so, then I'd check the power connector for good fit and for corrosion, and I'd check the adapter for proper voltage, polarity and current. Do you have a "PSA series" AC adapter? If not, then check the fine print on the adapter you have for Output, and make sure it's 9V and also that it says 100mA or higher. The Boss PSA can output 500mA and can usually drive 5-6 pedals with the right breakout cable. And I suppose you already have this, but just in case you want to RTFM: Boss RC-3 Manual.pdf 8-)

Hil,

I'm going through here just to share the circuit diagram (schematic) for Boss PSA adapter because I know that many people need to repair their damaged fonts but can not get the original wiring diagram.

Just bought Kingston 2GB SD Card for Boss Micro BR but when maching turned on,its frozen on KEEP POWER ON! SONG LOADING!

This is likely a compatibility issue. Turn power off and remove the card and make sure the unit comes back to life.

SD card compatibility can be a problem.

You might want to go to VSPLANET.com as there is a lot of info on forums about recorders.

My psa 120 t goes to ground and make an elictrical noise just like you unplugged your guitar and the amp is turn on

Sure that the problem is the PSA adapter? When it occurs? When everything is connected (guitar, amplifier and pedals) and you try to turn on the electricity in the PSA?

Using generic battery adaptor on Digital recorder

Others have had problems doing so. I would get one specifically for the unit. One person got an adapter with an "S" suffix and that DID NOT WORK.

Get the exact replacement for this particular device as called for in your manual.

Why is it that the buzzing heavily increases when I play and record guitar while the recommended AC adaptor (the PSA-120S) is plugged in at the same time? Do I need to get a rechargeable battery?

Rechargeable batties do NOT work well in things requiring a full 9 volts.

OFTEN the fault is with the guitar pickup being sensitive to magnetic fields around it.

Wall tranformers/adaptors are some of the WORST of the magnetic field emitters.

It is likely that the power supplys have blown diodes or capacators
and there is too much ac in the signal ,
or the power supplys you have don't have enough wattage to power the units cleanly. did they ever work.
instead of using a power supply with 300ma or so use one that has 500ma or better 1 amp even.
