Fix icemaker

Start at the water valve at back of unit and work your way to the ice maker. Make sure the hose at the back of the frig isn't block. Also that the arm on the maker is down and in the on position. If all this checks, then go back to the solenoid that turns the water on and off to the ice marker.

Ice and Water not dispensing. Light button not working

http://www.repairclinic.com/0100_1.asp
There's an ice- or water-dispensing problem The ice and water-dispensing system of your refrigerator is quite complex. Many components work together to provide the ice and water. Aside from a simple problem of a leaky water tube or a jammed ice chute, most other components are not user serviceable. We suggest that you contact a qualified appliance repair technician for such repairs.

Unpluged the panel from ice maker . when i repluged it with the power on it start bringging ice out automaticly. now water dispener does no work . Is this an elctronic problem?

Check temp setting. Freezer temp in between -14 and +8*F. And fridge temp must be in between 38* and 46*F.
Make sure the dispenser is notlocked. Some models have a lock feature that deactivates the dispenser andcontrol buttons. The lock button is located on the dispenser front cover. This feature controls unintentional dispensing. Press the"Unlock" or "Locked" button to reactivate the dispenser andallow dispenser function. You may need to hold the button for2 to 3 seconds. A clogged or incorrectly installedwater filter will reduce the water flow to the water dispenser. Check for aproblem with the filter by removing the filter and operating the dispenser. Ifwater begins to flow, then the filter is either clogged or incorrectlyinstalled. A clogged filter will need to be replaced.

Thanks. Helpful?

My water despenser started pouring water out on its own. could ony get it stop buy opening door and using the dispenser's lock mechenism why does this happen?

In this case I believe that the switch in the press switch at dispenser is defective. You can unplug the dispenser plug for water dispenser on rear of refrigerator un until we can repair the dispenser switch. On back near floor are two plugs one goes to Ice Maker and other goes to water dispenser. Unplug side to dispenser and send your model number so I will be able to pull up the dispenser control that matches your refrigerator, I will assist you once I get the model number, Thanks, Sea Breeze

Ice maker not getting water after changing filter

Check the following:
Is the freezer door closed completely?
Is the ice storage bin installed correctly?
Is there ice in the storage bin?
Has the ice frozen in the storage bin?
Is ice stuck in the delivery chute?
Has the wrong ice been added to the storage bin? Use only
cubes produced by the current ice maker.
Has the ice melted around the auger (metal spiral) in the
ice bucket?
Dump the ice cubes and clean the ice storage
bin.
Is the ice dispenser stalling while dispensing “crushed”
ice?
Change the ice button from “crushed” to “cubed.” If
cubed ice dispenses correctly, depress the button for
“crushed” ice and begin dispensing again.
Has the dispenser arm been held in too long? Ice will stop
dispensing when the arm is held in too long. Wait 3 minutes
for dispenser motor to reset before using again.

The ON/OFF switch is located on the top right side of the freezer
compartment.
To turn the ice maker on, slide the control to the ON (left) position.
To manually turn the ice maker off, slide the control to the OFF
(right) position.
NOTE: Your ice maker has an automatic shutoff. The ice maker
sensors will automatically stop ice production, but the control will
remain in the ON (left) position

REMEMBER:
Allow 24 hours to produce the first batch of ice. Discard the
first three batches of ice produced.
The quality of your ice will be only as good as the quality of the
water supplied to your ice maker. Avoid connecting the ice
maker to a softened water supply. Water softener chemicals
(such as salt) can damage parts of the ice maker and lead to
poor quality ice. If a softened water supply cannot be avoided,
make sure the water softener is operating properly and is well
maintained

The Dispenser Lock (on some models)
Your dispenser can be turned off for easy cleaning or to prevent
unintentional dispensing by small children and pets.
NOTE: The lock feature does not shut off power to the product, to
the ice maker, or to the dispenser light. It simply deactivates the
dispenser levers. The ice and water dispensers will not work.
Style 1: Press the LOCK BUTTON to lock the dispenser. Press the
UNLOCK button to unlock the dispenser.
Style 2: Press and hold the LOCK OUT button to lock the
dispenser. Press and hold the LOCK OUT button a second time to
unlock the dispenser.

Ice and Water not dispensing. Light button not working

INSIDE THE DISPENSER ASSEMBLY IS A SEPARATE ELECTRONIC BOARD THAT CONTROLS THE DISPENSER.
OCCASIONALLY, THE DOOR SOLENOID OR THE CUBE ICE SOLENOID WILL SHORT OUT CAUSING A BURNOUT OF THE DISPENSER CONTROL BOARD. CHECK FOR A BURNT SMELL COMING FROM THE DISPENSER HOUSING. IF YOU SMELL IT, THE BOARD AND/OR SOLENOID NEED TO BE REPLACED.
