Hi there, I have this washing mashin and combined dryer. Recently the dryer has turned itself of after like approximately 5 min... This now happens everytime I try to use the dryer only.. Does anyone have a clue what is wrong - and is there anything that can fix the problem easily? Should I call out an AEG technician??
Hope that some of you can give me some advice:-)

The lock is rubbish on this machine but as a temporary measure you can feed a string down behind the door lock from the top and out the bottom. Then yank it to the left to open the lock. It will take a few tries but you get the hang of it!
We got sick of this so ordered a new lock off the net. I basically had to break the old mechanism to fit the new one because the door layers were so strongly glued together. Now fitted, the lock works perfectly but the machine thinks the door's open the whole time! Next step is either new door or new machine. Great.
Ok, the motor windings are bad. the A.C. hum is a warning that the motor will sound when the windings are separated or shorting. its unable to hold a balanced current.the motor will actually stop soon if it isn't repaired.
The reason the machine is coming up with E20 when drying. is that there is a blockage of fluff in the dryer air duct on the right hand side of the machine just below the fan unit. the air that goes through this duct is heated and returns back to the tub to dry the clothes. because there is a blockage in this duct the fan pushes air up the pressure switch tubes and fools the machine in to thinking that there is too much water in the drum, too remove this blockage you have to disconnect the power supply, remove the lid and remove the back panel, 4 screws at the bottom + 4 up top under the lid.
plull the water pipe with the valve out of the way and pull back panel away. you should now see the dryer condensor unit blocked up with fluff. remove this unit and clean with bottle brush. replace and make sure hoses are done up tight. replace back panel and lid, try again on drying and things should be alot better, drying should be alot quicker as well.
