Re: LCD TV PICTURE HAS GONE OFF BUT NOT SOUND?
If you've tried the backlight and brightness from the menu, you may have a more serious problem. Try this;
Take a bright flashlight and place it against the LCD screen. See if you can see an image around the edge of the flashlight. If you see an image, you probably have one of three problems;
1) The inverter board is bad.
2) CCFT (cold cathode fluorescent light(s)) are dead 3) Power supply to inverter board is bad.

Hope this is an LCD TV. If it is, show a torch light from a distance and see whether the picture can be seen. If yes, the backlight has gone bad. If no, try changing the input device to something you know works. If nothing works, this is a case for a qualified service technician.
No.Tries unplug,replug the tv an hour later,that a reset the tv back to factory setting.The tv turn on now,have a picture flicker only a few sec.than dies,have sound left only?Yes,than the 1 or 2 long boards on the tv that call the LCD inverter boards are dead.These 1 or 2 long LCD inverter boards help the LCD screen panel to have a backlight to produced a picture.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy those refurbishes 1 or 2 long LCD inverter boards for the replacement.
More likely to be the problem in the LCD controller (TCON) board due to heat problem, try running the TV with the back open with small fan blowing at the top section of the TV. http://s807.photobucket.com/albums/yy352/budm/LTV-32W3HD/
Becareful wehn removing the back, you may have switch assembly attached to the back cover.
I hope you purchased the warranty, because your TV is DONE.
My sound went out 3 days ago and Purchased the TV in July 2006. For a while my screen look like it was going bad and now the sound is gone. Since I purchased the Warranty (listen to this crap). The are sending me a box though U.S. Mail to my home. I then pack the box and take it back to the Post Office and send my TV to New York for Repair. Then the repair will take place and they will ship my TV back from New York to Los Angeles. Unless it is beyond Repair. Then they will take another 30 days to process the check and mail it from New York to Los Angeles,
At this time I can only laugh at myself for bying a non-name brand TV to save money.
