Clearer pics what is the best webcam that i can buy that has the clearest picture resilution, at a fare price?i see other peoples pics from webcam and they are clear and crisp looking ? please help

You didn't say which model SVP camera you have. The Aqua-WP6800 has 5 resolution settings ranging from 3MP as the lowest to 18 MP the highest. The 18 MP would be your best picture, but largest digital file, If you have an 11 MP model, 11 MP would be your highest resolution picture. Clearness of a picture is affected by both light and motion. Good light and no motion will provide the clearest picture.

Twist the ring around the lens to focus it.
Don't force it - Just try to turn it. Use a program where you can see yourself. (Skype has test feature) Then adjust focus to clearest picture.

Also check for finger print on lens..

About all you can do is increase the camera's resolution by choosing the highest setting, i.e. 7.1 mp. Also, in case you've already done that, you can increase the ISO setting to try to get the appropriate amount of light for the best picture. I do not know this webcam but, webcam focus is normally controlled by 1 of 2 means, or a combination of the 2.
Sometimes there is a focus ring around the lens which has to be rotated to achieve the sharpest image, in much the same way as a telescope.
Or, image clarity is achieved by the software and you have to manipulate the software settings for the clearest picture.

Run the program to use this webcam. In that you would be able to set up various items like color, hue, contrast etc etc. tweak all of them and set the best possible picture. Also rotate the ring around the lens. Both clockwise and anticlockwise to focus on to you to get the clearest picture.

How you have entered your query? Am I right it is "NEW". If this is the case, and I know it is a pain, take it back with your proof of purchase to point of sale/purchase, explaining the problem, not fit for purpose and ask for a replacement, if poosible ask to see the replacement working, or your money back or if you don't mind, a credit note.
Middle of the range webcams are, in the main similar in clarity, personally, any clearer and I would continually be breaking mine.

Did you make sure the lens was clean? Wipe lens off the reset the webcam to its default settings. Slowly adjust the focus ring for best effect then adjust the video settings.

Well, there is a way to have the clearest possable picture. Get HD cable TV box that is HDMI compatable and watch only HD channels. Or buy a blu-ray player, hook it up via HDMI and only watch blu-ray disc in 1080p!

I have a Microsoft webcam and was having the same problems as the others using Logitech. I reinstalled the Skype programe again and my picture is clearer than ever. No Yellow line anymore.

Well, this cannot be edited from the webcam, the only solution is buy a new webcam, and be sure to look at the format usally the higher the price, better the picture
