My camera seemed to be working but the screen is totally black. all functions seemed to be ok. the camera had fallen into sea water six months ago and when i turned it on now, it seemed to be working but not the screen what can i do for the screen?

Try drying it out on a radiator. but if its not working not a lot can be done other than take it to be repaired

Dropped in the sea.

If it was dropped in the sea a couple of month ago it is dead. You need to remove the battery and repair it within 24 hours, and even then repair is iffy

The newspaper wrapping avoids direct contact of rice with your camera because the dust from the rice can get into the small areas of the camera. The newspaper and rice will absorb moisture. Leave it there (with the bag open) at least 24 hrs. Hope this helps!

Could be a firmware issue, I suggest you go to the Panasonic website, follow links for support and/or downloads and see if there's a firmware upgrade for your camera.

Failing that, get onto the panasonic tech staff, they may be able to guide you further.

you should have dropped the camrer down at least once. you have to replace the lens array.it costs around 60$.

sorry I have the same problem. It seems like it is a shutter problem...the shutter is locked closed therefore the screen is black.
